The only correct graphics options. Anything else and you're afaggot
>>332322221
Why do you even care about shadows?
>Not maxing your graphics options
DOF can be OK in FPS, but that's about it. Motion blur is terrible period.
SMAA above 2x isn't necessarily required on higher resolutions either.
>>332322221
don't forgot about ssaooff
You forgot:
Autism [on]
>>332322775
>dof
your eyes already blur everything outside of your focus, it's just bad and unnatural
>>332322221
Shaders/postprocessing is fine as long as it's not DoF or blur. Or some dumb noise filter.
>>332322221
Hey, yeah, I love playing a game in 2016 with no shaders, it's just like I'm playing a game from 1996! You're a retard.
>tfw my GT 560 Ti finally died and I'm using my onboard until my Estonian friend sends over his old HD 7850
Suffering.
I used motion blur a little though and it knitd together the shitty frame rate.
>>332322221
>shaders
>post processing
>effects
might as well remove everything and just put a single option called "graphics" in it with yes and no as the only choices
IQ is literally the ONE thing that tells gaming graphics apart from cg and especially real life.
What is the point of turbo autistically accurate shadows and effects if you have jaggies? It makes absolutely no sense.
>>332322221
>effects
>off
>>332322221
>4x anti-aliasing
>doesn't even say what kind of anti aliasing
>no VSYNC set to OFF
I like depth of field on. It can mask the shitty LOD in games.
>>332322949
They don't blur different elements on a fucking 2d screen though. Learn how eyes work. Periphery at equal range to the focus zone is excluded by the brain, not the eye.
>>332323429
This for skyrim, holy shit the lod is horrific.
>>332323302
Inb4 FXAA.
>>332323308
Depends on the monitor, if you have an awkward faux 60hz monitor like mine (59.xx) it'll show terrifying tearing even if you can hold smooth 60fps unless you have v-sync on.
>>332323302
Obviously MSAA or SGSSAA. Is there any other type of AA really? In before TXAA: no.
>>332323649
>smooth 60fps unless you have v-sync on.
>Thinking simply having 60fps on a 60hz display eliminates tearing
>>332324143
>TFW Gsync and free from Vsync once and for all
>>332322221
I've literally actually never ever cared about shadows.
>>332322221
Shaders are okay
Post processing is okay as long as it doesn't include FXAA
Effects are okay
Motion blur is retarded
Depth of Field is really good when it's really weak, it helps when there's no good anti-aliasing in the game.
>>332322221
>SHADOWS MAX
Stopped reading right there
>>332324297
>tfw my jewsync turned itself off and the only reason I noticed is because my fps was higher than 144.
gsync on 60hz displays is fine, but I can't tell the difference between my 144hz gsync display and 120hz non-gsync.
>>332324474
>wanting blobs under characters
>wanting everything cast pixelated shadows
>wanting to see things cast a shadow as you approach them
>>332322221
>post processing
And it means what exactly? does it include vignette blur? chromatic aberration? Bloom? and why some of the post-process options are separate?
>anti-aliasing
What AA? SSAA? FXAA? TXAA? SMAA? What the fuck is it?
>effects
Meaning what exactly?
>>332324704
>blobs
>pop-ins
I'm talking about ~Medium here, which in som cases can give a good boost to FPS while the quality of the shadows themselves doesn't drop noticeably, as in when you're playing and not directly comparing between Max and Medium. And in the case of the latter, even the difference between High and Max can be miniscule while High adds some FPS. I'll take a drop to shadows for the extra FPS needed to get stable 60.
>>332324803
>post processing
Anything like Sun shafts, HDR, Bloom, Color correction, chromatic aberration etc
>anti-aliasing
MSAA
>effects
explosion detail, particles, smoke etc.
>>332322221
Textures: Max
Shadows: Max
Shaders: Max
Post Processing: Max
Anti-Aliasing: 8x (FXAA: Off)
Anisotropic Filtering: 8x
Effects: Max
Detail: Max
Motion Blur: FPS - Off, everything else - On
Depth of Field: On
The only faggot here is you OP
>>332324803
>>332325362
>Anything like Sun shafts, HDR, Bloom, Color correction, chromatic aberration etc
>explosion detail, particles, smoke etc.
Why would OP want these to be off?
>>332325448
Unnecessary clutter.
>>332325672
>Unnecessary clutter.
Put everything on the lowest then, I mean shadows, textures, details, etc. those are all really just clutter to mask the true ugly skellies beneath it all.
