it has its moments but they really tried to "modernize" it aka add forced shooting segments which detract from it a lot.

The correct patches are particularly important since the vanilla game is pretty buggy.

Spoiler-free lore question
I realize that the Clans all have their own powers and properties, which makes sense because of the way blood is passed down. But what about the personality traits? Like what if you took an uncultured, rough biker dude (someone who'd be a good fit for Brujah) and gave him Toreador blood, would be gain an appreciation for the finer things overnight?
Pirate it, the original devs wont get the money. Also, the game is shit and held together by duct tape. The combat plays out like shovelware did in those days. Not fun. It's an rpg that allows you to avoid combat. Until 3/4 in where they ran out of time and made everything combat. Good story, shit game, not finished.

This is true. You have to enjoy the game for what it is.
If you're only in it for the combat VtMB probably isn't for you. But the game is a fucking case study on how to do atmosphere, dialogue, story, and hub worlds right.
