Been playing the PC port of 1, considering starting 3 on the Vita. D1 PC has been alright so far, it runs fine despite my computer not being that good, only had 1 crash while rerolling hospital rewards.

It has some rough around edges mechanics compared to later installments, but holds up pretty nicely I'd say. Maybe aside of Item World map generator.
And probably has best character/story stuff - at least most people agree on that.

Because I've already played it, at least the main story and Axel Mode. Just starting to get into doing post-game things.
As for the rerolling, I think it's easier to get the rare version of those items for the collection by rerolling the hospital rewards than hoping to get them as bonus gauge rewards, or stealing.

Oh I know I've tried playing it on my phone and it's surprisingly difficult. Sometimes I accidentally the wrong block at the wrong time so I get a fly instead of lizard and the jerk eats my nutrients quickly so I can't make lizard. Or sometimes I accidentally too much blocks and make a big hole in my maze, or accidentally killing a lizard instead of fly.
I just couldn't play it on my phone, I thought I would be able to but I just couldn't.
Anyone got any tips/cheat methods for Mt. Ordeal 3 in Disgaea 4? I want to unlock the best training ground, but I can't beat this level.

A lot of reasons, I did a detailed characater analysis ontumblra few years ago. I can give you a rundown.

>Axel (being Axel) managed to not only get his way out of prison but also managed to become the prison's Warden all offscreen

Basically Axel's problem is when he takes on a role he's pretty much a totally different character. When he's acting as the Dark Hero, he's nice as you can see, any other role and he can be as vicious as he needs to be. It doesn't excuse his bad writing in D4 but it at least explains it.

From what I've read, there is no ending involving Ally kills. It's not hard to avoid killing your allies if you're that worried though.
There is a few for dying against bosses or starting a relationship with certain characters, not in the dating sense though.
Also one for the beating the final boss at a certain level.Desco is best Disgaea 4 girl and Val is best boy.

It's not hard, butafter getting not best endingin disgaea 1 cause of 1 (one!) ally kill, I just really paranoid about having any during first playthru.

The relationship thing is a building you can place in the Cam-pain HQ place and then you can set relationships for the main cast. Although I haven't tried it myself, just read up for my next playthrough.

It probably has higher level of ally kills needed like 50 in Disgaea 2. Still, thanks for info. Won't worry about it too much, I usually quite careful with ally kills to not get high number.

The post game bonus characters in the PS3 version cost a few thousand Mana each senate thing, I've got Etna, Flonne, Axel and Rasberyl from them so far. They're not DLC though.

yeah, that hades field trip option unlockes 2 of them, it written clearly in description. Rutile and Stella to be precise.
Didn't encountered those characters in Disgaea 3, cause I kinda moved on 4 bit too fast. I thought Rapsberyl mode is main story heavy post game thing in D3, I guess I was wrong.
Playing Disgaea when you have limited time and way too big of backlog is tricky. I have all games but they sit there on the shelf while I play previous iteration or other games. So I don't 100% them, play enough postgame to be satisfied and move on other games and then on later Disgaea title. But I do plan to get back to Disgaea 1 after I will be satisfied with new stuff of Disgaea 4, d2, 5, and start 100% them.. Tho that will take me awhile.

I'm obsessed with videogames too much to stay clear from whatever interesting game I can come across. They are way too much fun to pass. But I rarely beat any of them. I played maybe 30 different PS3 games for example to various extend, didn't beat any of them.
Tho I did almost stopped playing on PC aside of few games. Kinda have enough of it while working. And online games aside of Gundam VS Extreme session with friends.

Reincarnating once or twice is a decent strategy around those levels, particularly for Unique characters, since they gain 5% to all Aptitudes for the first five times they Reincarnate. But the way stat growth works is different in this game compared to the others, and pure Reincarnation numbers don't matter all that much. You need to work on mastering Sub-Classes, since doing so will give you bonus stats. By mastering every Sub-Class and Reincarnating maybe twice, you can easily reach the base stat cap of 100mil. You'll be in for a real treat then. Basically each map in the game has a dark version which you unlock by doing random things like waiting x amount of turns or standing on a specific tile. The maps themselves are much harder and has the dark sun that dictates what kind of things happen on each turn to make things even more difficult.

Fire emblme already has demons, disgaea has humans, they have been known to intereract. They are both SRPG games, they both have large cast of shallowish characters. I think both series could gain from a mixing of the two. Fire emblem with more depth, customization and generic units. Disgaea with unit pairing, eugenics, weapon triangles, classes, skills and terrain effect, ect.
I've basically always had the dream game of fire emblem and disgaea either mixing with each other or musou.

Fire Emblem (the good ones) are about managing limited resources and making decisions with far-reaching consequences.
Disgaea is about being comfy while you grind shit and make your walking loli goddesses of death. The differences in fundamental gameplay are a little too large to make a good crossover despite both being SRPGs.
Disgaea is also not exactly dudebro-friendly, which is what Fire Emblem has been aiming for these days.

I don't really think Disgaea can gain much from mixing with FE, the gameplay at it's core is different and in the end, you have way more options in Disgaea, though some people like having to push all their units through a single hallway or getting fucked over by the RNG which is why they prefer FE, but pretty much any time I pick up an FE game, I notice how Disgaea does the same thing but better.

The cool thing about crossovers is that they are basically build for fan service, it can take the best of both games and combine them into a new type of game. It doesn't have to be disgaea grindfest AND fire emblem resource management. It could be one of them, with just some elements of the other.

Geoblast blocks in the item world with difficulty scaled up 20 stars. Some classes will max in 2 blasts others will take 3-4. Gency out and repeat.
If your unit doesn't know geoblast, you can use the mentor squad or teach them through character world.
Monsters that turn into weapons on the geoblast character can gain subclasses this way too.

One scene for each character doesn't really make it a moaning game in my opinion, and even if it was, it's still only one game in the series.
Also, I don't play any eroge, because actual dating sims are trash. I don't want fire emblem or disgaea to be dating sims, I just like the idea of being able to (complexly optionally) pair up and marry units, if they fight together a lot. And what's with all the hyperbole? Even if you don't like the feature in fire emblem, it's pretty optional and doesn't hurt the gameplay or anything. The problem is pretty much only indie devs do it and they are too small for have all the elements they try to do and have them all be good.
They spread themselves too thin and either the porn, the story or the gameplay (or all three) is terrible and tacked on.

What if it wasn't? I mean, 3d is the obvious and most immediately appealing route, especially from a developer/artist point of view, but top down sprites could work. It might not even be a musou game at this point, but Imagine if they just took the base style gridless movement and added combat to it, plus hundreds of copy and pasted sprites on screen at once to cut through.
Admittedly I don't actually want this, but I could see it being a last resort if they couldn't do a good 3d game.
Hell, if they used sprites, they could just recycle most of the assets from Disgaea 5 and make it a budget download only game for vita or ps4.

For the most part I'd agree with you, which is one of the reasons I defend disgaea over so many other anime games. But I do always have the fear that the boys are slipping away or being slowly replaced. I don't mind female characters, but there are just too many games with 100% or like 95% female cast and it's got me really defensive and protective of my boys.
