I want a region that feels cohese in aesthetic, isn't blatantly linear, and has tons of optional stuff to do and places to explore. Also a decent sized set of new Pokemon, another Kanto or Unova sized batch would be nice, but I'd settle for a Johto, Hoenn, or Sinnoh sized addition.
So basically a region that isn't as shit as Kalos.

None of them. But the first two had less focus on it. In every game since, the big clash with them over the box legendary is always presented as the climax of the game. Not so much in RBY and GSC and their remakes, though HGSS slightly less so.

The time for world building was Gen 3 onwards, but it stagnated into a formula.
The Pokémon world is no different from the Mario or Zelda worlds. They're nonsensical pocket dimensions that exist to facilitate gameplay rather than coherent worlds like TES or Mass Effect.
I want an excuse for a new Pokemon Mystery Dungeon game. That's all I want.
But if I'm gonna get a mainline game, I want:

What I'd really, really like to see is a Harvest Moon-style clock that isn't based on real-world time.
It just feels so silly when you've just started your journey two days ago and you've already beaten tons of gyms.
And maybe I'd finally be able to see daytime in a pokemon game.

You can do this in Gen VI though.
Really they should just bring back the old hold item EXP Share and then make a separate key item item for the Gen VI type. And then another key item for an option for Gen V style EXP scaling. Options!

It's given really early and while you may think it acts like Gen 1 EXP Share at first, it actually like doubles~triples the EXP gotten depending on the size of your team then splits it, so you end up overleveled really fast if you leave it unchecked.
Really though it's not a problem as long as you keep it off and only use it at all if you feel like you're trailing behind a lot or if you want to constantly cycle a large number of Pokemon though your party, like 20+.

If that Dolphin is real it's the best designed starter since Chikorita.
Drayano getting hired after they get all main stuff coded in to adjust the challenge difficulty, AI pokemon teams, TM/HM locations, typing and stats, etc
His Blaze Black 2 hacks are pretty much the perfect pokemon game, especially given he lets you pick challenge/normal at the very start

I too would like another game corner with slots or blackjack or something but it won't happen because of laws in the west AND east prohibiting glorification of gambling.
good chance we'll see a challenge mode, it was well received with b2w2, I can't imagine they'd just ignore it again. But then again people bitched they didn't change up literally every npc's teams and everything else in the game so maybe they're just trying to stick to their core audience and letting compfags have evs/ivs.
I still need to get a 3ds so I can try x/y and oras. Still paranoid they'll release another model though, I fell for it witht the DS line, but never again.

BW's story was fine aside from the twist at the end. It was by no means a masterpiece but it was at least interesting enough and paced well enough to keep me engaged, unlike gen 6.

X/Y aren't really worth it in my opinion. ORAS was pretty shit too from what I've heard, but I didn't play those so I can't confirm. X/Y though; that was a chore to play through. The 3d looks pretty awful compared to the sprites of the older games. The story is almost nonexistent and horribly paced. Nobody is interesting and neither is the region. The post game is pretty awful too. It's one fucking city and a cave with Mewtwo in it. The Looker quest was short and only took place in one city. And to top it all off, the game was mind numbingly easy. I nuzlocked it on my first playthrough and I only lost like 3 pokemon throughout the entire game because I wasn't paying attention. Everything about X/Y was a step backwards from gen 5.
