You could honestly build a decent rig for that much, OP. You should hop on over to /g/ and ask around there. They may be able to help you.
>>
>>332255179
they sent me here. plus I dont have the time or knowledge to build one like you pc master race whatever.

My specs aren't even that good. It's (or was) roughly around $750 and runs most games good on Medium-High settings.

Though, I can't do streaming cause my CPU is fucking aids when it comes to that sort of thing. Probably could do some recordings for let's plays.
>>
>>332255356
Like I said, make a list and ask a pro to build it for you.
It cost something like 50€
>>

Fucking /g/.

http://www.dell.com/us/p/alienware-x51-r3/pd
inb4 "UGH, why do I have to choose options??? So complicated!"
It's Alienware, OP.
>>
Honestly OP for that price and your intentions you can use a rig very similar to mine, which was $850 pre-built. The important things are a dual core processor, at least 8g of RAM and a serviceable graphics card. I have the dual core, 16g of RAM and a radeon 7550 in mine and it runs everything I want to run, which caps out around games released in 2013. You can always upgrade as you go

Gaming computers are way overpriced, you can try getting a normal desktop with a good CPU and then buying a gpu separately.
>>
Serious question, would it be possible to grab something like a Dell or another OEM, replace the PSU, and slap a GPU in it? Or do OEM PCs compromise motherboard quality? I reckon you could get an i5 OEM PC for like 500 bucks, and a meme card will set you back an additional 300, not sure how much a good PSU costs. I wanna say 100 bucks, but that seems too steep.

Im not looking for a over the top desktop I just need on that can play games like Final Fantasy, and other RPG and thats it.

2TB Hard Drive (7200rpm)
6GB Nvidia GeForce GTX 980 Ti

$1135.39

It's always better to build your own, but yeah it is possible. Last year for my niece's xmas present I bought a used PC off of craigslist for 120.00 it was an hp with 8 gb of ram, and fx6300. I also bought a 760 for 100 bucks and didn't even have to get an extra psu. In total I spent 220 and it plays most modern games in medium to high settings.

>I just want a type of Brand that decent enough for all my needs
There's really no meaning to the brand. HP, Dell, etc it's all built using the same parts with the exception of the outside junk which doesn't matter.
>>
>>332257761

I think the problem lies in that most people here and I assume there as well is that they build their own pc's. I quickly looked at some gaming desktops on BestBuy around the 6-700 dollar range and they have mediocre cpu's with terrible gpu's.
>>
>>332258632
i can care less about pre-built. right now Im using a ASUS Laptop which I had for a year and a half. for my youtube and gaming stuff and it been fine im pretty sure il be fine with a pre-built desktop.
>>
>>332259080

You should probably do some research yourself rather than simply asking /v/, the best advise I can give you is to get a PC with a decent CPU preferably Intel so that in the future you can upgrade the videocard without having to worry about bottlenecks. As for GPU's in that price range your just gonna get something mediocre, again research what the number mean like in here
http://blog.logicalincrements.com/2014/06/graphics-cards-what-do-the-numbers-mean/
then look up at benchmarks for the games you plan on buying and get something decent that fits your budget.
>>
maybe I should look in to getting a Sager Laptop.. since desktop is not helping me.
>>
>>332260025
Assuming you're OP, you're a fucking idiot. Desktops are better 100% of the time, especially for gaming. There is no need for a laptop if you're going to be gaming at home (and if you're not, emulate games on your fucking phone).

The fact is, people who know what they're talking about are always going to tell you to build your own computer because it is always the better option; if you buy a prebuilt computer around the $1000 price range you are going to be overpaying by $400. The best option for you is to take a suggested build (ie list of parts) and pay somebody to bild it for you. This could be somebody who works in a tech shop, or just someone you know who is good with computers. Even if they charge you $100, you're $300 better off. If you'd like I can suggest builds myself.

You said you just want to play Final Fantasy, but you could be clearer. Do you mean you want to emulate Final Fantasy 1 through 6 (which you could do with a PC from 1998), play Final Fantasy 7 through 9 (which may be a $200 PC) or play Final Fantasy 14 at max settings?
>>
>My budget 700-1000 and I dont want to build one
Then you're pissing away money
>>

This one is fine, even if it's way overpriced because you're lazy. It even looks a bit like a PS4.

heard alot of bad stuff from that one.
>>
>>332260892
OP is clearly not the sharpest bulb in the shed, it's perfectly reasonable for him to overpay to avoid having to figure out everything he needs to know to build a good one.
>>
>>332255659
>paying $750 for a build that has a 750ti

MY FUCKING SIDES
>>
>>332254956

then i guess im an idiot then and not a pc master race i feel so sad now wah...this site seriously.
>>
>>332261813
This site is for users over the age of 18. Fuck off.
>>
Honestly not everywhere you live will give you amazing deals by making your own pc, I'm a canadafag and pretty much need seriouse sales to really make any savings. But I'f you live in the US you're throwing away 200-300$, use pcpartpicker to make a system and give someone knowledgeable 50$ to put it togethere.
>>
>>332254956
literally just build your own pc you dumb piece of shit
i just recently built one and its literally just fucking adult legos its easy as hell

Jesus Christ 1k, I would rather just buy a ps4. This the perfect example of why OP should at the very least pay someone to build a pc for him or buy used parts like this>>332256986
>>
>>332262286

>>
>>332262371

He could order the parts online, and pay someone to build it for him. Whereas prebuilts from a company have a 30-50% markup, not to mention that those PC's are ugly as fuck.
>>
>>332262261
Just build one. Don't be idiotic.
>>
>>332262669
once again no thanks. only pre-built ideas.
>>
>>332254956
Build your own you fucking retard, a 15 year old could watch a youtube tutorial and build a PC.

Stop being fucking autistic
>>
>>332262646
>He could order the parts online, and pay someone to build it for him.
That would require him to have "friends" which is not something anyone on /v/ has
>>
>Anon actually suggests a relatively decent prebuild
>OP ignores it
OP is either trolling or inbred or both. This thread is shit, check my 7.
>>
>>332263053
Ironically autistic people are more likely to be able to build their own PCs if their specialization is in PC hardware. So he is actually more likely to be normal than you.
>>
>>332263053
cussing people out how nice of you. and claiming them to be autistic
>>
>>332263550
You are such an insufferable cunt.
Fuck off to reddit, you'll absolutely love it there.

Just go to bestbuy and buy a prebuilt there and buy the most overpriced videocard for it.
>>
This thread ayy lmao

OP i lost my PC virginity by building one and its not hard. If you want a pre-built just go to a store and get ripped off like i did when i was a teen.

Though this is an epic troll thread. check this 3
>>
>>332262892
What the fuck do you have against building your own PC?

did someone's custom-built rig rape you one time and you have PTSD?

Literally no excuse except for being a lazy piece of shit. A ten year old could build a PC if they took an hour or two of learning how to do it
>>
>>332264135
well with the mix of me knowing jack about biuld electronics and having anxiety non stop you can see why. I cant even open a controler to clean everything and not have anxiety. so if i were to try and build a desktop i surely would fuck up. there are you guys happy that i admit that. a bunch heartless troll on the internet it sickening.
>>
>>332264454
Yeah, "heartless" because we)we're trying to save you moneyAND get you a better setup

I guarantee its not hard at all, you just plug shit into other shit and screw it onto the inside of the case. There's hundreds of quality tutorials you could watch.
>>
>>332264757
you just dont get it do you. anxiety is aserious problem i have. so im saving my self therisk of having it by wanting to get a pre-built
>>
>>332265154
You could go to any tech store with the parts you order and pay them to assemble it for you. Itd still be cheaper and have better specs than a pre-built.
>>
>>332264757
Why do you feel qualified to judge that his own cost/benefit analysis of prebuilt vs building his own is flawed? He is not you, just because you consider building it yourself a low cost does not mean he does, just because you think the money for prebuilt is a high cost does not mean he does. On what possible grounds have you decided that your judgment of the situation is better than his?
>>
>>332265154
Not him but try
http://www.ibuypower.com/
And just go for one of their more reasonable builds and customize it heavily to whatever you want. It's not that cheap but it's definitely better than alienware or dell or some shit. Can't guarantee the parts won't fuck up as with anything though since there's always a small chance you get a POS part.

Or find some store that will assemble it for you as >>332265665 said but I have no idea where to go to get that kind of thing since everything around where I live is mass market.
>>
>>332265794
I dunno man I'm just trying to help and if he was rich enough to not care about wasting a couple hundred dollars he wouldnt have come here for advice on what the best one to buy was
>>
>>332254956
i5 and GTX 960.

If it has both, it should be good enough for gaming.
>>
idk anymore..
