Different guy from OP here, but they are fairly fine. Just there's a lot of bloodborne like enemies that don't let you really wind up on them without getting your ass slapped.
Also seems like a ton of enemies have hyper-armor so after 1-2 hits if you haven't killed them they are going to swing at you anyway.
I've found extreme success with a regular battle axe compared to any greatsword.

Ultra greatswords really aren't good in 3, they were powerful because they staggered enemies and now they can't do it as well, it's terrible also because they're still just as slow, I found myself actually getting hit even after staggering an enemy.

Its great in crowd situations but for every one swing of it I had 3 with my axe that does comparable damage. Its tokyo drift moves are highly impractical against anything but fodder, and that sucks.

Will card summon. If you get invaded by a red, the red can use purple summon signs in your world to cause a mound maker to invade. Thing is, they're neutral, so the mound maker can either attack the invader OR the host, so you don't know what you'll get. Might fuck you, might help you.

Yes it is, you need 20 faith for and i can get 2 casts out of it with 12 attunment. It last about 2 minutes. Its saved me so many times against bosses and invaders.

Most weapon arts are by category.
Straight swords all use "stance" for example. Unique weapons like boss soul weapons generally get their own though.

I was watching Distortion2's stream and he was still getting a pretty big bonus on his Pyro Flame's spell buff stat going above 30/30 INT/FAI, so I'm not sure. I'd guess 30/30 is the soft cap, sorta like hexes in DS2, but that it keeps on scaling beyond that.
25/25 is about what you need to hit all the spell requirements that I know of so far.

This game didn't take any risks, or deliver anything substantial to the series. Its certainly entertaining and I have enjoyed my time with it, but overall I haven't been wow'd by it and I feel many will end up feeling the same way. Its a terribly disappointing way to end the series.
