Bigger issue for me was the gun generation being worse. I expected it to be better in the sequel when it's the central focus of the game, get guns. That series whole issue is that they need to revamp their gun generation to add more interesting qualities. All the interesting qualities are on unique items and nothing else. For example shotguns with special shaped spreads, only unique shot guns have them. Why not make that a random feature on every shotgun?
I paid $10 for the beta. had a lot of fun.

Destiny indeed has amazing core gameplay. The story is kind of meh, at least in the way it's presented. The lore is cool tho and the game has my all time favorite visual presentation/aesthetic and soundtrack. It's not ideal to play alone but I still had plenty of fun with it before I met people who I now play with regularly.

I didn't like how they made the game a Tom Clancy game, and then put shit like bullet sponge enemies in. It really deviates from what makes a game a Tom Clancy game. But I doubt it would have sold as well as it did if it didn't have the Tom Clancy name attached to it.
I haven't done any dark zone stuff (only at about level 25) but the game is typically ubisoft, 5 or 6 missions repeated in 6-7 areas. I wish they would mix it up just a little tiny bit; there are some glints of really interesting mission structure there.

>Machine gunners.

>"Healer" that drops a healing pack. Does nothing since 90% of enemy HP is armor and it doesn't heal that.

The problem with the loot aspect of the game is that you can get an end-game weapon that will last you forever with 2 days worth of dailies. The Vector is hands down one of the best weapons in the game and you're ~125-150 Phoenix credits from getting it. The drops from "hard modes" are useless and mostly just broken down.Hard modes are piss easy and solo-able by fresh 30sWith each Challenge Mode, you get one High End piece of gear. Apart from that, mostly everything else from the CMs are useless and broken down. Gear grind is basically credits/DZ grinding and then crafting your own shit.
Dark Zone.
>Rogues are too severely punished. There's no reason to ever go rogue other than just for killing people. You will almost ALWAYS lose more than you gain going rogue.

The weapon talents in this game are fucking awful.
