I don't think that Senran is censored at all. The only things I remember from Shinovi Versus were the ages not being listed in the instruction manual (they were never mentioned in-game) and EU bath scenes having the translated text removed, although the japanese voices and full scene were still there.

Neither does Dragon Quest Heroes, which most people would call a Musou despite not carrying the name. Senran Kagura does somewhat have officers; it's just that beating them all always ends the stage.
SK doesn't have morale (and doesn't have repeat spawn points, which wasn't mentioned) and that is the biggest difference between the two series.

Yes. Aerials are nowhere near as reliable, input timing's a hair stricter than past games, and some of the fights can actually be hard, particularly in the game's final chapters. There's ways to break the game but they aren't immediately obvious by any means. That said, it can get a little glitchy, like enemies flying on the opposite side of the map once in a while but it's never outright busted and is a near universal improvement on Burst.

Honestly, I found it kind of pathetic as well. I basically never used the dressing room to poke at the girls, even after buying to SK games. But I'm glad it's there. Frankly, no.
More specifically, every character has super armor and so everyone is just going to stand there swinging at each other until the first character breaks, generally the one not named Yomi. The only other method of attack is jump-ground smash, which gets incredibly boring after doing it for hundreds of stages, and the double-team teleport attack, which feels required for a certain boss. Mirai and Ikaruga have a one-hit knockdown that you could also spam to corner trap anything that isn't a boss, which I guess is variety but not much.
Also, the camera in SK2 is shit. That's pretty much a standard for the series at this point, but with SK2's psudo-sidescroller view and without the tracking lockon that was present in SK:SV, it means you generally can't locate where an enemy is before they slam you from off-screen.
Basically, I found combat far too repetitive to be enjoyable. Not just the general "stages are similar" repetition - Shinovi Versus was quite good, outside the load times - but just every attack of every fight being the exact same thing, over and over.
