What's the best N64 emulator for Windows?

I've heard that p64 comes with malware
I can get most things to run properly with Mupen. Project 64 makes games look nicer, but I find it has a ton of problems with less popular titles.

It's fine if you used precompiled dev branches available online.

run dolphin and the VC version of the game. if its not on VC then it aint worth playin.
OP here. I'm playing Paper Mario using Project64, but there are a few graphical glitches, and there are black bars even in full screen, so I was wondering if there was a better emulator.

I'm playing Ocarina with Mupen through RetroArch, works fine I guess

Pretty much the only choice we have
But hey if you think N64 emulation is bad check out the Saturn emulators.

What about the rare games?
64 emulation is such trash still, so many years later.
Spend more time fiddling with settings than you do playing the game.
Waste of time.

Is there any guide to setting Mupen up?

Just get Retroarch. Their Mupen core is easy and intuitive to get running.

Fun fact, you can fit every Xbox classic, N64, NES, and SNES game on a 1 terabyte hard-drive and run it in an original Xbox.

So like 3 Xbox games?
>>332234651
>Blinx 1 and 2
>Conker reloaded
>Whacked!
>The Outlaw series
And so many more.
Even the listed count is >3.
There were a lot of good Xbox exclusives.
mupen64plus in retroarch
good compatibility and sweet CRT shaders

I'm not sure I understand. I downloaded Retroarch, but Mupen isn't in there.

On main menu go to Online Updater, then Core Updater. You'll find it there.
Also, by default keyboard key X selects and Z goes back.
