Really ? I totally felt a difference. With Sakuya it took me a fifty attempts to capture it in practice mode, but with Reimu it's a cake walk. Sakuya has like 4 or 5 more pixels than Reimu on her hitbox during the spell.

The game fucked me pretty hard and it's easily the hardest one in my opinion but the final spell was surprisingly easy compared to everything else. It's been a while since I played UFO but from what I remember I'd say it's as difficult as Byakuren's, maybe even easier. You can bomb the boss too.

I love her fight because it made me feel like a goddamned champion. I am garbage at Touhou but I like playing it regardless.
So I got to her fight and failed a few times, but kept trying. I manage to use up all my bombs trying to stay alive until I'm at Hell and Heaven Meltdown with two lives left and no bombs.
Suddenly I'm in the zone and even though I'm not even registering the brain signals mentally, I'm weaving in and out of all the bullets flawlessly.
Then it moves onto the last part, where you're fighting the force that's sucking you into the sun in the center. Yet I keep going. I'm moving through tight spaces that get blocked off literally frames after I pass and not even fearing death.
Then in the last few seconds of the fight, the force of the sun seems to increase and I get dragged into a bullet right as Utsuho explodes, leaving me with my final life in victory.
I wish I could tap into that more because then I might actually be decent at the series

The only thing about Prismrivers that should ever give you any issues is Merlin's opening non-spell. Everything else they do is either simple dodging, or simple streaming. Alice ends up being more complex, despite being an earlier boss.

PCB has spellcard attempts and shots changing when you focus. The former is a mainstay now. The latter disappears for a few games (MoF, UFO, most of SA's shots) but it's in IN and all of the games since TD

The danmaku is interesting, the gimmick is fun, it has a shit ton of content, and the story itself is actually fairly decent beyond the whole "muh edge" thing.
