I have 200 hours but I just gave up on the game about a year ago because of the FPS issues. It's not up and down framerate, it's always consistent. Some servers I will get 60 and some I will get 20. I've read this is because the game's engine ties framerate to server performance. I love the concept of the game but their engine is such a pile of fucking wank. And then there's other annoying things like the shit animations and lack of tactical PvP. I get what I always wanted from Arma in Squad and PR, so I have no reason to play Arma anymore. Unless they announce Arma 4 and it's actually got a proper engine overhaul.

No, part of the reason I had bad FPS with A3G is because the server was capped. I can play single player ARMA 3 fine but the server cap was destroying me. But I had fun with some of the ex-members so I stayed. Once they were gone, it really didn't leave me any reason to stay.

Talking about mods, ACE + ACRE alone will annihilate your framerate in multiplayer, and these two mods are mandatory otherwise the game is shit and dull as fuck.
There's just no escape with ArmA. It will run like shit for the end of times, and so my interest in the game will remain minimal until the end of times.

I used to play in realism units and just got really sick of playing it on a mediocre pc.
