You dash in, pull your assist to cover yourself, land a confirm, mash out your combo and then you either land a reset to do it again or your reset is blocked and you're pushed out and then the situation is reset, thats SG in a nutshell
There is little neutral game to speak of, most of it is just dashing or chickenblocking in, rarely are ground normals ever just useful on their own if they aren't sure to connect,t he game lets you pressure people safely for extremely long periods of time, which is just boring because I'd rather be playing a fighting game, every mixup is a ridiculous guess that leads to 33% or more, conditioning has to take place over many long, boring matches instead of within a single match

why are you playing fighting games for single player?
Only started playing this a few days ago on PS3, and fuuuuck, playing against Peacock and/or Robo-Fortune online just isn't fun. Like, I've adapted to fighting them and can often beat them, but it's never fun doing so. Matches with them always START respectable. They'll get in close and some good stuff will get going. And if they win like that, alright, that's fair and nice. But as soon as they start losing, which is most of the time... hurrying to the other side of the stage and projectile spamming it is! Which turns the whole rest of the match into a boring game of cat-and-mouse. I reach their side of the stage and land a few hits, they escape and get to the other side, repeat process. When it's the same long, drawn-out shit each and every time it's just fucking frustrating.
Why do you pretend to like this shit? It's lame and panders to con going normies. Does pretending to be a basic bitch make you feel cool vicariously?

I think it's totally fair to hate the 'VS' genre of fighting games.
Everything absolute bullshit, fast and crazy.
But reaching the highest level of play in a vs game leads to some really solid gameplay as long as it's balanced and has good defensive mechanics.
That's why I love SG so much and since it borrows all the defensive mechanics from Marvel 2, it's easy for me to see why that game was played for so long.

No, but I do know what it's like to want to be the best. To stroke your own ego over and over again. To constantly try to enhance your abilities to become the perfect specimen. If my life was a movie I would have been the antagonist because I craved power and fear so badly and I still do but I know now how the world works and I realize I need to depend on people to survive. That's part right. There's a reason why she starts going on a banishing spree. it's because she's hurt and she doesn't trust anyone. She worked her ass off to be the fire lord and when she got it all it was just a title and that's why she realized she had been chasing the wrong thing which is why it was so hard on her mentally.
