If you read any of the books from that time, there were certain tribes from the Orc side that wanted to make peace with the humans. They went to Azeroth to make a new home for themselves (or so they were told), not to have an endless war with another race. Warcraft sizes are so fucking weird. Is Arthas like 8 feet tall here? Or is Jaina actually a very slim dwarf? Was Arthas always this huge, or did his ascension to the frozen throne double his size?
I mean, I know the in-game models in WC3 and WoW are very very variable, the heroes/bosses generally being twice as huge as regular people, but I always figured that was because of gamemplay considerations (bosses not disappearing in a mass of NPCs for example) rather than canon. It doesn't look like the movie will be adhering to this at least, Lothar isn't twice the size of every other human just because he's important. (Or ate his spinach or whatever.)
