you don't actually need to input an extra two quarter circles when doing your ultra in a combo
i'm gonna assume your combo ends with cannon spike xx ultra. since you've inputted the motion for cannon spike you've already done one quarter circle so you only need to do one more for the ultra to register
just go fucking HAM on your d-pad/stick whatever.

Enjoying the game online so far, pretty much always seeing where I've fucked up where I lose,, and have a good 70% or so win/lose thing going on. but one of my most glaring flaws seems to be that I go full retard against high aggression players, this goes triple for Nash and Ken users.
Don't know what it is, but I start whiffing really easy counters, mistiming combos and seizing up, continuing to block and get my ass thrown and played like a chump. Anyone who fights with a more tempered pace, I can generally outthink and out strategise against if I drop a round. I play Birdie, so I know speed isn't my forte, but even really fuck-basic lp/mp > qcf lp/mp and possible critical art chaining will go out the fucking window if someone keeps pressure up on me.
Really frustrating when I think over the fight. The fact I can never find a point to v-skill trap and restrict, which again I can work in against less aggressive players. Also, being the first time I've really gotten into the online in a Street Fighter, I admit I'm struggling against crossups to a degree.
The newbie in me keeps saying it might be Birdie's lack of speed that's not helping, but I think we all know that's bullshit, I'm just not weathering the onslaught properly.
Any general pointers for this? I've been doing hard survival to get Birdie's last couple of colours, and the AI does use cross-ups to a degree, but it's so unlike online.

Dont rely on the v-skill a lot.
cr.mp is the greatest AA and fucks up crossups very often.
You will have to learn how to deal with pressure. Blocking a lot and properly is vital with Birdie.
Use your v-reversal to get people off your nuts.

I only just bought my ps4, and I decided that preordering DOA Xtreme 3 was a wiser investment, seeing how I live in the country, have an internet connection of 30 kb per sec so good online vs are ruled out, have only one controller, no family members who like videogames, no neighbors who are close to my age and/or like videogames, and I've never played a streetfighter game in my life.
