It didn't sell huge numbers (still a few million) but it wasn't expected to, and sold more than anticipated. And it gave Sony something more valuable than money, it gave them cultural capital, Bloodborne was praised all over the shop and will be remembered forever as a great game and they own it. Worth more than gold, because Sony now has something that's almost universally agreed is good and no one else can have it, how many people bought Ps4's just for this game? And how much has the PlayStation brand improved with Bloodborne in it?
Sony are overjoyed with Bloodborne. If they get a good working relationship with FromSoft (and specifically Myazaki) they may be able to rectify what they consider thier biggest blunder: not realising the potential of Demon's Souls and letting one of the defining series of the 7th gen slip through thier fingers.

Its the closest I can get to experiencing the game again for the first time, through other peoples first playthroughts.
Its such a magnificent game to be honest, the style and theme of the horror is something we'll probably never see again. Not even lovecraftian side of things but the extremely well done gothic/horror theme is so fucking well done.

Dark souls 2, Metal Gear V and a couple other games run at 60fps on ps4. I've played Bloodborne without issues and enjoyed all these games without any problems with the frame rate, this was pre and still post patch where its now mostly stable. I only noticed one significant drop that was prepatch Old Yarnham and it didn't destroy the game or make it unplayable by any stretch.
If you idort with PC and spend a lot of time messing around with graphical settings and talking about performance that's probably why frame rate acts as bigger barrier between you and enjoyment of games compared to someone who just plays consoles and is happy with the experience.
If you could go back and just enjoy games at any frame rate, would you? That's the real question.

I don't know shit about graphical settings or anything like that. It just bugs me a lot the 30 fps. Whenever I start the game I notice it, whenever I engage combat you can see how it's not fluid. I don't know, I think it may be because I've spent a lot of time in DSII at 60fps.

At the moment I mostly play on PC but I also own a PS3, 360 and a N3DS. I bought the PS3 for DeS a few years ago, and while it would be nice to have Bloodborne on a platform I already own so I don't have to spend savings on a PS4, in a year or so more when it's really cheap and you can pick up a copy of the game on Amazon for bargain-bin prices I'll bite and drop my money. If it comes to PC in the meantime, fair enough (but it probably won't).
Just be patient. You'll get a better deal that way too. The Souls games stick around for a long time and BB in particular is going nowhere (confirmed by the fact you can STILL TODAY go and have a fight with someone in 4-1 at peak times). Just chill out boys.

I actually use my PS4 more for video services. I keep it hooked up to the wall mounted TV above my desk, which I also use for PC games. I have another in my living room so I can Netflix & chill on the couch at a moments notice.
I also traditionally use consoles for multiplayer shooters so I don't have to deal with aimbots & such. But that may be changing after seeing FPS constantly dropping under 15 in the Division just about everywhere you look. I can live with 30fps, but these modern slideshows are just horrendous.

Honestly I wouldn't be bothered if PC had no exclusives at all. The vastly improved performance in game is what justifies the purchase. People are getting excited about releases because publishers are finally looking at PC as a legitimate market again, which will help to remove the limits imposed by consoles anticonsumer practices.
