I just heard the Gods call for holy crusade. Which games let me slaughter infidels for greater good? Obviously Medieval 2 Total War but I've already played the shit out of it.

Crusader kings 2, there's no overall goal but if your christian I'd say try and remove the kebab and reclaim the holy land.
You don't control the battles like total war franchsie but there is some strategy, i find it very enjoyable at least.
There's a sand people faction in m&b you can wipe off the face of the earth

Mount&blade? Can you get templar clothing?
>>332163992
how do i keep medieval total war 2 staying "fun" after figuring out auto-solving battles will usually give much better results?

What? You seriously need to git gud if you get better results with auto-solving. Learn to use troops properly, especially cavalry.

yeah was thinking of trying again since it was my first time with total war, reallyalso i used the french because medieval french were hardcore motherfuckers

Sands of Faith mod for Mount & Blade Warband is what you're looking for

Spears against enemy cavalry, tie their troops with swordunits and use cavalry for flanking. AI in medieval 2 is really stupid so you learn to win matches in few hours. Especially sieges, AI always acts the same way in every battle.

This looks very nice and kind of what I was thinking. Maybe I give it a try.
>>332166081i actually mostly had problems with the sieges

Defending or attacking? If attacking, use catapults and trebuchets, 2-4 and shoot down the wall and as much enemies you can before attacking.
