i believe pre-Indivisible they had a poll where they asked if people seriously wanted them to focus on SG or try again to make a profitable IP
they could have kept supporting SG if not for the double-whammy of Autumn Games fucking up + Konami severing ties with them as a result of the fuckup, having to re-release the game etc

I guess they are confident it will sell well enough.
Vita, PS4, and PS3 are all crossplay, and when the lobby patch hits hopefully console will liven up a bit.
