You should see the file size of a game .exe that has denuvo and one that doesn't. Its a difference of almost 150MB. All the obfuscated code takes extra CPU cycles to process (on a legal version) and slows down code execution significantly. Denuvo, in order to hide the fact that it slows performance, it calls game functions to make it seem like those calls are actually coming from the game itself rather than denuvo.

Everyone knows that pc has more capabilities on a technical level. The problem is that nobody on /v/ can tolerate people who don't find technical differences to be a life or death matter. If it's not framerate, it's resolution. If it's not resolution, it's graphics settings like lighting and shadows. online stuff is a mixed bag. It can be a lot of fun but most of the time you will be ganked by twinks, often even cheaters. This one has up to 6 people fighting each other at the same time. My advice is pirate first if you are knew to it, you might hate the whole concept. Game itself is good, all of them are good. Story is almost non existant, you can jump into them wherever you want.
