That thing couldn't run 2007 tf2.
>>
Okay, what are the best builds for PC gaymen for poorfags?
>>
>>332007761
>Poorfag
>Even asking about laptop gaming

Dude, if you want to play modern stuff on a laptop you're looking at four to eight thousand dollars and a MAXIMUM lifespan of four hours off plug.
>>
>>332006974
I use an MSi GT72.

I can run every game that has come out in the last 2 months at highest settings. Lowest fps 45

>le gaming laptops are bad maymay
ebin

>>332006974
I have a Sager NP8150. I recommend it, but they tend to be pricy. MSI is supposedly pretty good.

>>332008491
Try 1000$ and less than one and a half hours in power saver mode. That's about what mine gets.
>>
>>332008815
Huh. Yours runs 4k at $1000?

You get it on sale, anon?
>>
>>332008815
MSi is what I run as stated here >>332008630

Only complaint is they run poor heat synced nvidia cards which run mega hot on some games.

Played the division and have 3 fans pointed directly at it on high and a/c set at 68 fahrenheit. Still reach 58 celcius

Not 4k, and it's a few years old by now but still manages to do most things at 1080p with some adjustments.

I have doubts you can get 4k reasonably on a Desktop, much less a laptop if they even exist.
>>
>>332009415
Uh, yeah, they exist.

They're MSI even.

You can get better ones than this if you custom order.

Pretty much anything higher-end from Asus (ROG), Lenovo (Y-series) or MSI.

Dedicated Nvidia or AMD GPU is a must, and even then anything below GTX (x)50M is not gonna provide too good experience.

8GB RAM and 64-bit OS are requirements nowadays. Decently clocked multi-core CPU (preferably > 2Ghz minimum) also helps a ton.

That being said, the integrated videochips on Intel's CPUs have improved tremendously in the past 5 years, and are quite capable of at least 720p gaming in most titles.

Saw this one on /g/ awhile ago, can't say how good it is though.

Seems pretty good

An icebox compared to my computer. I've seen it get even hotter.

>>332009836
>$5,000
Jesus fuck I would hope so for that much. Explains why I never saw one because I look over any computer more than $2,000.
>>
>>332009860
Only recommendation with dedicated nvidia's is having a computer expert open up your case (if they do it right, there no way to tell if sent in for warranty claims) and reinforce the heat sinks. The flaming nvidia meme is real.
>>
>>332006974
As a PC gay man, I prefer desktops.
>>
>>332009836
Wait how do they fit two desktop sized video cards in that?
>>
>>332010148
Playing 4k in a lobby or lounge gets all kinds of jelly stares, man.
>>
>gaming laptop
you're just asking to be price gouged right in the ass and the company doing it uses chalk for lube.
>>
>all these fags saying to get a desktop

clearly you dont have to travel EVER
>>
>>332010572
I travel 365 days a year for work, it's why I have a stupid expensive laptop.
>>
>>332006974
My XPS L501x isn't the best (by a long shot probably) but it can still run games like Fallout 4 at decent speeds(30fps).
>>
>>332010572
I sit at a desk job all day. Its why I have a retarded expensive laptop
>>
Clevo if you want to go cheap. Only buy a laptop if you ABSOLUTELY have to though. If there's a feasible way you can use a desktop it's always a better choice.
>>
>>332012580
>Feasible
Neer at home so no.

Its also why i own two handhelds
>>
>>332010168
yeah, no.
First of all, it's AMD's cards that are prone of melting computers these days.
Second, I own two old laptops with Nvidia GPUs. Neither has melted yet.

learn to keep your system's innards clean, and re-paste the components every once in a while.
