The number nine door has closed. This ends the Nonary Game. Thank you for your participation. As the game is over, all doors other than the number nine door have been unlocked. Escape is not possible.

Please enjoy your stay.

You know, every single time Sigma and Phi jumped to a different timeline, the old timeline still exists.

Which means there's like 16+ different versions of everyone who are fucking stuck in that base, and they all have a Sigma or Phi who's gone unconscious.

Actually, they get stuck with with a Sigma or Phi that don't have a clue of what happened in the last couple hours, since the time travel involve consciousness swapping between the bodies.

So imagine a Sigma, cluelessly choosing which chromatic door he's going to choose, then suddenly the next moment he's exploding to smithereens by a blue fire or traversing a desert with two astronauts or seeing Alice kill herself in the infirmary while you look at your severed left hand (which is bleeding white for some reason).

Shit must be insane.

But can't those Sigmas still jump themselves? I mean, being blown up might be too quick, but how about that Sigma with his arms cut off or stuck with Luna's corpse? Do they keep jumping around forever?

I like that one anon's Philosophical Zombie theory, when a Esper jumps he leaves behind a body that acts and talks like he normally would have but the mind is in fact devoid of conciousness.
>>
>>332002413
Let's see.
You can go
Clover->Dio->K->Get to the laboratory and complete it in Quark's route->Tenmyouji->Alice->Sigma->finish Quark->Luna->Phi
>>
>>332002765
I think that by accessing the Morphogenetic Field, they "meld" with the next Sigma that accesses them.

The Sigma that lost his left hand entered the field at that exact moment.
The Sigma stuck in Rhizome 9 with Luna's corpse would probably enter the field after dying forever alone. Actually, could Dio have set bombs as a fallback even after shanking Akane?
>>
>>331997717
Uchi said there's actually a nearby moon base that's populated and that it's possible that in some of the timelines the people who escaped might have actually gone for help.
>>
>>332004043
Don't forget:
>betraying Phi
>finding Alice dead in Phi's route
>fainting right before voting in Phi's route
>saving Akane
>>
>>332004608
Some of those jumps are really minor, or just completely part of the route they are in.

I figured the point of the question wasn't to accurately count the number of jumps but rather to create an order of routes that would minimize the number of times you have to jump from one route to the other before completing it.
>>
>>332005272
In terms of the player's convenience, you're correct.
I wanted to count the minimum number of jumps Sigma made for the AB Project within Rhizome 9 to be considered "completed".
>>
>>331997929
>that one ending where they cut off Sigma's hand and ditch him
What a bunch of cunts.
>>
>Phi plans to ditch you all after getting 9 points

Bitch I've been betrayed several times already, among them an old man I kept allying with and a bitch that pretended to be unconscious so she could betray me at 1 BP, fuck you for throwing a fit for something minor like that which hasn't even happened yet, fucking christ. Why is Sigma such a saint compared to all these people? Like the only other moralfags here are a toaster and a mostly unconscious kid.

I wonder why Junpei is chasing a freaking sociopath for 45 years, Akane literally has a million years of experiences in her mind. She is probably not human anymore
>>
>>332018406
Akane's fate kinda sucks, I think Uchikoshi mentioned way back after VLR's release that Junpei chased her for 45 years because of something he learned about her on the Mars testing site, implying he wanted to help her or talk her out of this madness.
Besides, won't younger Akane have a couple million years less of experiences than the old one simply because she goes through more and more possible fates as she lives? She's still not quite human anymore, but I don't think the younger one is quite as detached as the one we see in VLR.
>>
>>332015520

Except when she went all Super Mario on Dio.
>>
>>332019090
Isn't the Akane in ZTD the same one from VLR/ at least has experienced the events of VLR?
>>
>>332019090
Remember that when you came back to the past after Old Akane "stab you" she remember everything in that moment
>>
>>332019738
Considering Akane told us she can time jump with her consciousness too, I think it's a good assumption.
>>
>>332019780
Yeah, but the young one seems slightly less detached, and says something akin to "H-hey, I didn't actually stab you, no need to be so rude" which is slightly less mechanical then anything her old self ever says.
Akane doesn't directly timejump as Sigma and Phi, so even if she had experienced VLR when she was young, logically an older version of her would have experienced even more branching timelines.
She's been Machiavelli since she was 12, but judging from the trailer and quotes, she is less calm in face of her death in ZTD than in VLR. It could be all acting, but judging from screenshots she's upfront about what she knows of Brother and Zero, so it could just be that she's not as mentally prepared as her older version.

>>
>>332021067
I know he wasn't expecting the soulless husk he found in VLR, but what exactly was Junpei hoping to find after 999? He can't have been so retarded to believe that her personality was real after what she put them through.
>>
On the 3DS version, having to watch the little blip on the map travel around and watching door animations is fucking bullshit and absolutely destroys the pacing. Does the Vita version do that? At first I thought the game might have been doing it to hide loading screens, but occasionally, the scene will just transition and I'm at whatever room the story needs me to be in.

Also, speaking of pacing, I get that using knowledge gained from other playthroughs is not only an intentional game mechanic, but also one with an in-lore explanation, but it sucks going in blind and getting stuck on two or three timelines because you didn't start off with the ones that have no prerequisites.
>>
>>332021871
You can timetravel right at the point you need to, so no worries.
and yes that's a vita thing as well so yeah, deal with it.
>>
>>332021569
He wouldn't know that she saw a great many things beyond the 999 game.
I predict that during ZTD, she accidentally sends memories to Junpei about all the suffering she had, has and will have experienced and caused by that point, which will compel him to save her.
>>
>>332022125
The issue isn't the inability to time travel, it's the fact that again, it fucks with the pacing. Especially since every "TO BE CONTINUED" is on a major cliffhanger, so to then have to start over the beginning, hopefully choose the right timeline, then go back to inject yourself/use password/etc, really undermines the tension. Especially if enough time passed that you don't even remember the events of that timeline all that well.
>>
>>332015306
I don't remember. I know Sigma's arms got fucked up, but was Dio's leg confirmed to be crunched?
>>
>>332022425
You must have shitty memory retention skill to forget a route or the events that happened in them unless you haven't played for months, and I'm exxagerating here.
I like the cliffhangers because you don't know wtf is gonna happen afterwards, I distinctly remember having Luna's cliffhanger first and then after the unlocking it just made things more intense.
But to each his own I guess.
>>
>>332022413
Junpei is the kind of faggot that would be compelled to save her as long as he cares the slightest about her, but you're probably right in that something like that will happen. At least I expect him to tap into the morphogenic field on the receiving end for once instead of just transmitting.

I just replayed 999 within the past 2 weeks. Plan to replay VLR soon too but I used the following paths (pic) to see every ending in 999 again. I describe it in what I think is the quickest way to get through the game.

For my play through, I ignored the number 3 door because it only leads to door 2 after and that route sucks anyway. I also skipped the coffin ending because it's just pointless.

There are a few choices you need to make during escapes that aren't shown here but those choices are a little more obvious to make. That is especially true if you are replaying 999.

Uchikoshi says she experienced various past histories in the VLR Q&A, but I was under the impression that she only knows many timelines going forward from the exact point where she was in the incinerator. It's not like she could, for example, retrospectively learn Ace, 9th Man, Nijisaki, and Musashidou's reasons for doing what they did.
>>
>>332022837
I thought door 3 and 2 and the resulting sub end had more interesting story and info than the other two bad ends.

Junpei's fully capable of being a dick on his own, the times he really questions his info and actions are when things like "truth had gone" pops up in his head. Sigma will literally say he doesn't know why he was a dick and betrayed when you make him do so.

That fucking All-Ice-9. That was like a fucking quadruple red herring.

>Big long exposition dump about them in 999
>They never come up, it was a red herring
>...Until 'All-Ice' shows up suddenly in the ending
>But in VLR it turns out Alice isn't All-Ice at all
>...But is her body water made out of Ice-9? Maybe she really is...!
>NEVER COMES UP AGAIN, IT WAS A RED HERRING

My prediction: There'll be a block of Ice-9 you have to use for one of the puzzles due to its unique melting point stopping it from melting when placed in a warm location, but then it turns out the thermometer was busted in the warm place, it doesn't heat up, and it was actually regular ice instead.

Then they take the ice cube outside where the temperature's warmer, it doesn't melt, and it turns out it really was Ice-9 all along. AND THEN THEY NEVER BRING IT UP AGAIN

Door 3? He forces himself and Akane through door 3 through a ruse, disregarding what happens to the other participants. In general he's not as much as a dick as manipulative, he rigs the vote for the third set of doors and there's the "I'm Santa" ruse.
>>
>>332028794
I've already stated that's your choice to make and isn't required >>332023049.

I agree he manipulated the voting system for the 3rd round of doors. Dishonest? Sure but it wasn't done with the intent to screw people over.

The "I'm Santa" thing was dickish but he was trying to prove a point about Ace. Not uncalled for considering what Junpei knows.

You can be a dick without intending to, and Junpei sometimes is a dick because of his short sightedness and obsession with saving those he's close to. He brought Quark into a deadly game on the very small chance he'd see a girl he hadn't seen in 45 years.

0:43 - Akane and Carlos are both in the incinerator looking at what seems like a basketball hoop. There's some graffiti above the board, but I can only make out a "TWO."
0:45 - Q is burnt to a crisp inside the incinerator. Oddly, there's a desk to the right of him with a table lamp and a weird structure to his left.
0:47 - Akane and Carlos again in the incinerator. Junpei nowhere to be found.
0:48 - All of Team Q burnt in the incinerator.
1:03 - Three watches are shown with 12:10. The hand with the middle watch has red splotches on the skin. Assuming that the left watch belongs to Diana and the right watch belongs to Q based on their sleeves, this might be Carlos' hand.
1:08 - The suits of armor start shooting inside the rec room. At 1:09, blood effects appear on the right hand side. Since Team C's ward contains the rec room with the suits of armor seen in the screenshots, they're most likely the victims of this shooting.
1:10 - There appear to be some books behind Mira, suggesting a location such as an archives or library.
1:14 - As already pointed out, Sigma's behind Q in this scene.
1:27 - There are what appear to be bar stools in the left hand corner. This suggests the lounge which is also in the C ward.

Gab will definitely be coming in and out through those vents.
Whether Wards D and Q are simply right next to each other is unknown. I read somewhere that they were on different floors, but that could just be bullshit.

The people at mission control were being fed fake reports and video feed to trick them into thinking everything was going fine while in fact Zero II took control of the facility, set up all sorts of traps, and started the Nonary game. The people at mission control had no idea anything was off until Diana called them and told them everyone was dead and Radical 6 escaped, even then they never knew about the game, just that the simulation somehow failed horribly. Tenmyouji said he was a part of mission control rather than a participant so either he's lying through his teeth or something is different this time around.
