It is not my main MMO, but I play it a bit.

There are a lot of MMOs out there. If none of them are good to you maybe YOU are the problem.
LOTRO is decent but you have to pay for almost everything. Its next to impossible to reach max level without a few months membership

Star Trek Online rocks I don't give a fuck what people say. No f2p game gives you near as much content for free and the space combat is excellent. Speaking as a veteran of the combat and trading space sim genre the space combat in STO is the most fun I've ever found in a space game.
Give it an honest try OP, I wasn't a fan of the series and I downloaded it on a whim when I was bored and broke. It surpassed my expectations it might surpass yours
