What does /v/ think of assassin's creed. I've only played the finished the first two games and 1 was decent, 2 was great and brotherhood so far I like better than 2

I sort of liked Syndicate, but the grappling hook just felt so out of place and kind of ruined the climbing. Like there was no need to do it anymore. Also, the building placement felt awful for the climbing and rooftop running felt too slow.

I'm a passive fan. 1 was ok but I never bothered beating it. 2 was amazing in every way. Brotherhood was good but kinda dragged in spots. Revelations was good but I was sick of Ezio. 3 was absolute garbage that only did a couple of things right. 4 was back to being amazing even if a lot of areas were bland. Unity was trash and only slightly better than 3. Syndicate is ok but takes way too long to get interesting.
I want Ubi to dump this watercolor art style in Unity and Syndicate. I really don't like it at all. I want more of the look from 4 but set in actual cities at least partly. All the jungle got boring, it was the sea battles that saved it.
I started Unity not long ago and is there any other way to get skill points? Completing missions and doing side mission/side activities don't seem to work. I checked onnthe internet you have to play co op missions to get skill points but at this point, no one plays it anymore so I can't get any new skills

I liked the first game. Didn't care much for AC2 because Italian culture is just annoying. AC3 came bundled with my PS3 and It was boring shit. If the games were more like an acrobatic Hitman set in the past with no "muh aliens & shiet" then I'd be more interested.

The Ezio trilogy in general is pretty good. 3 is bad. Unity could be good if it wasn't filled with bugs. Syndicate is actually pretty good.

I played the first one and it was pretty good at the time but it felt a little too repetitive. I think I got so burnout on side quest I actually never finished the main story. I didn't play any others until Black Flag and thought it was pretty sweet.
I'll admit it. I get triggered by games like this that have yearly releases. It's one thing for sports games but it really is off putting to me to see these story based games getting released every year. Even if they are being developed by different groups in Ubisoft it just feels like they are rushed to meet that annual window.
