I had some ants when I pulled my old Gamecube out of storage. They seem to be attracted to the fluid when a cap leaks on the motherboard.

It's probably that some kind of insect (ants, roaches, spiders, etc) got inside of it and are burned when you turn it on.
I was forced to lend my wii to my cousins years ago and this was the issue
just take it apart and move them out desu.
If you can't be bothered to do that, getting a used gamecube won't take too much searching and it won't be over $50

Dust. Or if you're really unlucky some kind of grease or liquid. But it's most likely dust.
Just use a regular air duster through the vents and the fan and if that doesn't work unplug the entire thing, open it up and carefully dust off the components. Should fix everything.
