You seem to be quite the expert on reddit
People have been joking for ages that the non-combat character models look like minifigs so it wouldn't be that far out of the left field. But one major obstacle to me is the fact that the Lego demographic is typically children. I have absolutely no idea if eight year olds are aware that FFVII exists.
At this point, I'll gladly play a Lego parody version of FF7 over what passes for our incoming remake any time.
