Do you guys think that the original creators are pissed that people remember the turtles from the cartoon show rather than the comic books where it was all gritty and dark? Imagine you licensed something you created, someone made a kid friendly version out of it and it was a worldwide phenomenon overshadowing your original creation. I've heard that the original creators aren't fond of the TV show version and even in that animated movie with dimension traveling premise they pretty much wiped the floor with cartoon turtles and made the comic turtles badass.
