I'd definitely play Burst or watch a walkthrough of it on YT. While the anime isn't bad, it only covers the Hanzo story with some slight tweeks, the Versus series picks up after the Hebijo route in Burst ends. Plus the Hebijo route is pretty cool, IMO.
Then I'd play SV next since that's where EV is a sequel to. I'd recommend going to FUCKING Gamestop over getting it online since it's 40 bucks at Gamestop vs like 90 or something on Amazon. Like twice the price or more.
While the Vita version is more than sufficient (I would know since I have the Vita version), the PS4 version is hands down the better version with more enemies on screen, more missions (from what I've heard), and quicker loading times.
Since you are getting one, I'd recommend getting EV for the PSQuad.

It's my first Senran game (and fanservice game period, really) and it's surprisingly fun and not just worthwhile for the tits. I'm having a good time just beating the shit out of things (not just my dick).
And you get a soundtrack, artbook and shit with the game, which I paid $50 for at bestbuy. Totally worth it for me. Only real complaint is apparently the online is having lots of connection problems for everyone.
