What I've seen of the gameplay in SRW doesn't really excite me. For me, the appeal is in the battle animations and fan service, and Z3 has the most characters that I know and care about.

Eh, I loved the z series for its roster. Mechanics were ok. I'm just glad they FINALLY are at least doing an English translation for this one. Like they finally fucking realized what region free means.
Is there a chance for Gurren Lagann to be in this game? If so, day fucking one purchase.

No anon. OG SRW games are entirely OC characters and mechs. Gurren Lagann's only showed up in Z2 and Z3 if I remember correctly.

This is an OG game as in original generation in other words it has no licensed mecha.
It IS in SRW Z 2 and 3 though.
