While I don't believe it for a hot second let's be real. Nintendo is almost certainly going the route of pure touch screen gaming. Let's just be happy there's a few sticks so we can at least control it proper.
Here's what everyone is going to have to learn to deal with when it comes to NX.
1) It won't be a normal game console. It WILL be gimmicky and it WON'T be super powerful. Just accept it and move on. It'll still have a great library.
2) There will be paid online. It's the destined future for online gaming and for Nintendo to be able to compete they will have to charge. And once Nintendo has a service worth charging for they will in fact make you pay for it. Pokemon Bank is evidence of that and fucking PLEASE don't try to say WELL THAT'S GAMEFREAK!!! No fucking shit but Iwata was there during the announcement and clearly it benefits Nintendo in some way and probably was paving the way for the inevitable charge.
3) It will likely be digital only. Unfortunately, with My Nintendo looming this is the most likely outcome. Nintendo basically confirmed it as only DIGITAL purchases will count to it. There will be no codes in the game boxes like Club Nintendo and so get over it now so it doesn't hit you as hard. Nintendo clearly makes more money off digital so for them to introduce a very Nintendo-like system to ease naysayers into embracing it... well, let's just say /v/ will be a shitposting carnival even more so than ever during E3.

It doesn't work. In order for a nub to move on its own, it needs to be on a flat surface and connected to analog censors directly underneath it, usually withing the system itself. However, looking at the stick itself, you can clearly see that the nub and the dome are one piece. Is he suggesting that the nub somehow glides across the very plastic it's attached to? Because I highly doubt that's the case.

You could in theory push down on said sticks, release them from a form of lock that keeps them sticking up for a flush surface, and once pushed down they become circle pads of sorts. and when in a resting position they return upwards and lock in place again. Somewhat like a pseudo R3/L3 button but instead of being a button its a lock of sorts.
In theory this would be absolutely fine, but I cant say this would be a reasonable thought. It's a way to make a pad like that work, but it could also just be a pressure sensor instead

That's a common filter used to highlight compositing and editing.
If you copy and paste an image into a different one, it might look like it blends in to the naked eye but with this filter, there will be a visible change in the noise highlighting the differences.
There's also some other things you can spot to do with line definition but I'm not too familiar with that.
