Several of them I was waiting to go on sale (System Shock EE, Necrodaner, the two X-Wing games, and Tie Fighter if it ever shows up). Van Helsing I bought on a whim, some of the classes look cool. Jotun I also bought on a whim because the animation looks great. Arcanum I always wanted to play but never got a copy, and a $1.50 is no big loss if I don't play it.
Galak-Z I passed on twice because it looked stupid, but then I watched a review and it made me want to buy it, so I stayed up half of the night waiting for it to show up again... It finally popped up again this morning.
I'm most hyped about Galak-Z but I'm at work right now.

That's no fun. I only buy games I expect to at least try, with the exception of rolling game damage. But those games I buy, hide, and promptly forget about.
But I don't play them instantly, it depends mostly on my mood and how much time I have. Finished about a third of my GOG library so far, but for example I got the BG trilogy back in 2011, and only just got around playing them this summer.
