You should already know nip. You should be able to play a rhythm game without knowing nip.

Stumbling through menus sounds unfun

It's not hard to figure it out

You don't need a translation to play rythm games. Only issue is being locked out of dlc on Vita but that's not a problem on PS4.
>>
>Please be assured that the cost will be a bargain price

Wait a minute what happened to it being free as a thank you to the fans? Fucking Sega.
>>
>>331643204
Over 220 songs and maybe 5 of them will be good if you're lucky.
>>
>>331645473
they never said it'd be free
>>
*also on PC
>>
>>331645618
why not, I'll just pirate it when this comes on pc anyway
>>

Fixed.
>>
>>331644125
How do you have problems going through menus of a fucking rhythm game?
>>
>>331643331
I speak Jap fluently and I can tell you: you don't need to know the language to play the games.

Want to know the lyrics? look online.

Miku and DOAX3 are two games that the JP release is the international release.
>>
>>331646839
What about taiko? I heard you can get by fine with no moon knowledge for that as well.
>>
>>331644125
Menuing is the easiest shit, you don't need to know any language to menu.

>>331646939
Pretty much any rhythm game has effectively 0 language barrier.
>>
Release date when?!
>>
>>331647179
I'm pretty sure it's download only in japan
>>
Project Mirai has some of the best songs across all the games so that's good news. It was laughable how shitty the song selection was in Diva 2 compared to Mirai 2.
>>
>220 songs.
IIDX has over 1100.

So why should I play this instead of IIDX?
>>
>>331647760
Doesn't X come out this week? Is that even worth buying with this game coming out soon too? With 220 tracks I'd assume there will be some overlap. I'd just need a way to get onto the Japanese psn store.
>>
>>331648130
Amazon.JP ships internationally now don't they? Can you just log in with your normal amazon account and buy what you want through PayPal, or do you need amazon.jp giftcards
>>
>>331647952
You shouldn't? IIDX is objectively the best rhythm game out there, and it's incredibly sad that so many people don't even know it exists because of secret club bullshit.
>>
>>331648285
I pay with my credit card like on any amazon
>>
>>331648285
There's not going to be a disc release of future tone to even get shipped.
>>
>>331648621
Yeah was asking in case I wanted to import diva X or the idolm@ster taiko games like I want

>>

>>

>So why should I play this instead of IIDX?
If you want to play this just because it's a rhythm game then you have the wrong idea.
>>
>>331648717
Oh I was going to use playasia
But I just checked Amazon Jp because of your post. There's a listing at 54$ and prime but it wouldn't let me log in. So I'm not sure how that works
>>
>>331648789
at least they could put in collab song like luvvoratory and matryoshka, right?
>>
>>331649010
Matryoshka is on the 3ds
Vanilla Luvvoratory sucks ass Reol did it better
>>
>>331649073

mikgazer songs would be boring.

>>
>>331649185
You would need to make a new Amazon account specifically for Jp
Only Amazon listings are international
So you would need to get a second prime membership
>>
>>331643204
Can't wait to have to play them all once before I can get to the actually fun part.
>>
Jesus christ, im hyped even when i cant afford a ps4. When will this be released?

>>331648718
M-muh waifu
>>
>>331649326
I log into Amazon.jp with my US account and pay with my US credit card just fine. Prime membership doesn't work for international shipping.

Dumb question but are these actually two completely separate games or can we purchase both and it combines all the songs into one application?
>>
Can I use my PS3 controller for the PS4 game?
>>
>>331643204
>like the gameplay in PDf
>find nearly all the songs bar about 3 shit

Why

I don't even dislike J Pop or vocaloid stuff it's just the songs were so uninspired and shit.
>>
>>331643204
>200 of those tracks are paid DLC
>>
I still want IA/VT here in america. She's my favorite vocaloid.
>>
>>331649939
Diva X has nothing to do with future tone
Future tone is digital only exclusive to the JP Psn store
>>
>>331650339
She's not a vocaloid
>>
>>331650370
what is she then
>>
>>331650465

>>
>>331647018
Will I have a hard time navigating through the menus if I don't speak japanese?
>>
>>331650586
I'm sure everything will be translated on the internet immediately
>>
>bargain price

why does that sound like the game si going to be expensive as fuck?
>>
>>331650586
Not at all since most of the time their either symbols or In English like the IA game.
Only issue might be with instructions for the campaign mode but it's just gonna be a playlist of songs anyways
>>
>>331650339
Poor song selection and far too easy. Like the Fisher Price version of Project Diva, which, let's not kid ourselves, is already the Fisher Price version of the rhythm game genre.

Besides if you really wanted it you would have already imported. Had mine preordered for literally months through all those delays.
>>
>>331643204
Is there no point in getting X at this point?
>>
>>331648346
I would love to play IIDX if I could fucking figure out how. Is it even possible to emulate the arcade version on PC?

I've already dumped several hundred hours into Osu!mania so I feel like some of those skills should transfer.
>>
>>331643204
No, it's pretty average. The latest console version of beatmania IIDX had 198 songs on-disc spread over two discs.

and that game was released over 5 years ago.

not bad by any means, but not outstanding either.
>>
>>331651334
You need to understand this is big by Project Diva fan standards when previous games had 35-40 to 50 songs or a bit more I don't remember numbers. Not by rhythm game standards

Most Diva fans aren't rhythm fans in general but Vocaloid fans.

Only 220? That's like, the amount of songs of one of the first versions of Pump it Up.
Latest release have 543 songs, not counting shortcuts, full songs, remix and missions.

>>
>>331652642
>>331652989
You rhythm fans don't even get it. I've never heard of these games and wouldn't even care.

500 songs? 1000? How many of them are Vocaloid? It could be 1 000 000 for all I care. If you were talking about Osu or something I would have at least heard of it but then there's the problem of NO CUTE GIRLS
>>
>>331653759
>DDR Clone

kek
>>331653889
So you only like shitty syntetised voice songs?
>>
Will a Taiko game ever get that many?
>>
>>331654052
He's saying he buys and plays games for cute girls and doesn't really care too much about anything else.
>>
>>331654052
>So you only like shitty syntetised voice songs?
Yes, preferably with cute danging videos as backgrounds.

>>331654175
No I actually don't play Japanese animation styled games or those with cute girls, I just like Vocaloid and the Characters associated

Other than that I play Edgy dark like my Soul games mature games for mature gamers such as myself.
>>
>>331654447
>I just like Vocaloid and the Characters associated
So you're buying and playing games for characters and you don't really care about anything else.

I've played every diva game in japanese, it doesn't take 10 minutes to see what's what in menus
>>
>>331654761
So you don't care that it's a rhythm game? You're buying something just because it has "Vocaloid" printed on a box?

For you.
>>
Are these games ok on PS3/4? I'm just worried about input lag. When it comes to rhythm games, I need it to be absolutely perfect. I know there's a calibrate thing, but for some reason I can never trust it.

Getting the Vita version would be better, but I'd rather not buy a Vita for just that.
>>
I wish importing X didn't cost so much, and if a localization ever came out I wouldn't stop kicking myself.
>>
>>331654893
>So you don't care that it's a rhythm game?
No I have fun with it but my interest in the genre doesn't go beyond the series in question. Other rhythm games miss the components that are unique for it which pander to fans.

> You're buying something just because it has "Vocaloid" printed on a box?
No I don't by the synthesizer software
>>
>>331643204
>two version
>but over 220 songs total for a brand new entry

>meanwhile at Namco,
>two versions
>just a dozen of songs for each versions of a reskin Taiko game that supposed to be a 10th anniversary celebration
>two songs from the OG arcade days aren't even in it

I'm still mad. I will never not be mad. Thanks a lot Scamco
>>
>>331655069
There are demos for the PS3 games, check em out. PS4 games aren't out yet.
>>
>>331655201
>my interest in the genre doesn't go beyond the series in question
That's a pretty shallow statement on /v/.
>>
>>331655354
I know. Aren't you going to ask me which components are unique for the series?
>>
What's more fun, Project Diva or Pop'n Music?
>>
>>331651247
Yes, and it's completely trivial because basically every arcade game from the last decade has run directly on a cut-down version of Windows.

Your skills would be meaningless because you haven't spent any time playing an actual rhythm game, and you'd need to buy or build a controller.
>>
>IA/VT will be a single thing
>Gumi game bombed
>Cryptonshit is all that'll continue
Why even bother with vocaloid games?
