To you maybe. It is a fact that sprite based games sell less than 3D games, even if that 3D is shit. There's no reason to put so much money into sprites if it will sell less than cheaper 3D models regardless. On top of that, those sprites were just unreasonable to work with. So much shit was cut from XIII it's disgusting, and the entire roster across the board had a butchered movelist.
Real talk fuck those sprites. They looked real pretty but the game suffered so fucking much because of it. I'm glad we don't have to put up with that shit anymore.

As someone new to KoF, how do I get used to the "gravity" of SNK fighters? Playing KoF '98, 2002, and Last Blade 2, but I just can't seem to get used to the feel of the games. That is largely on the shoddy translation, which was clearly done by people not fluent in any of the languages KOF got translated to back in the day, still people let it pass because no one else made fighters with 4 to 5 language options available back then.
