Yes and no.
It has a decent enough story, it has fun gameplay mechanics, as can be seen here>>331519320 and it certainly has some replay value due to the various ways you can play. Some levels are crazy huge and full of both things and empty at the same time.
It is also fairly linear (though it does not hold your hand much), a bit dated, and you really have to make your own fun to make the most of the experience.
Later versions patched the kicking so it is not as ridiculous as that, but you can do a lot with just kicking.
The game can be really fun, but the lack of scenario options really hurts it in my opinion.
On the other hand, you can usually get it for dirt cheap.
