I was watching KoF 13 stuff and while the game is really fast the combos go on for way too long and do 50-80% most of the time. I just hope it's dialed down in this game. Watching a guy do the same move 20x gets boring.

I always expect them to never be around and I'm always proven right, but it still bums me out. (since unfortunately they are my favorite characters of the bunch) It doesn't get better than KOF98 for me basically, which isn't too bad but still.

I just got through playing Real Bout 1 and I have to say
FUCK anyone whose animation experience consists solely of anime, especially gainax-tier shit.
I had more trouble with this cunt, his brother, and Duck King than fucking Geese (who was no walk in the park either), simply because they literally have no goddamn in-between frames in their animations and more smears than a nutella factory, a knife factory, and a bread factory smashed together.
Also, for the exact opposite reason, Terry is painfully rancid shit-tier in that. In case that wasn't obvious, I'll explain, Terry is oddly enough, too animated. Because all of his moves and even most normals have start-up frames that lead into the animation, he will almost always find himself on on the receiving end of any cross-attack and countered almost endlessly. I thought Sagat in Street Fighter 2 was a cheap spamming sack of shit, but he pales in comparison to the input-reading, uses the perfect attack every single time AI in RB1. In addition, it doesn't help that Terry deals shit damage. I thought, "maybe I'm retarded, and the AI is just cheating in terms of damage output." Nope. Even AI terry's only source of heavy damage is combos. Meanwhile, this colossal asswipe shaves off 1/4 a lifebar with one faster than the speed of bullshit hit from across the arena, even in the hands of a human player. I honestly feel like the only reason they even added Ring Outs in RB1 was because it gave a fucking slim chance to a player who gets shitwrecked by the AI. And for fuck's sake I was playing on Level-4. I shudder to imagine Level-8. I only managed to get through most matches through power dunk and ringouts, and I had to trick geese's AI with me punching out of his perfect parry-throw range (oddly enough, I learned that despite his death, you can't score a ring-out against Geese in-game).

And that's considering they wouldn't hire only him to work on things, because if they did, he'd be too meticulous and development in general would slow to a crawl, waiting for him to finish his models while they work with prototypes...only to have to tweak and finetune every animation ever once the actual models come in a year or two later.
