Other way around. SE put out surveys asking how excited people area for P5 and if they would be more likely to buy it than FF15.
SE are scared no one gives a shit anymore and most recently have been playing the 'wider audience' card. 'This one is for newcomers and veterans.' Shit like that.
FF15 is guaranteed to sell more on name and advertising budget alone, but they need to recoup way bigger costs and they are worried about P5 draining their hype.

Atlus is waiting to see what Square does at their event on the 30th. We'll get more news and a release date shortly after that.
