It's just grind and RNG, no challlenge whatsoever. The "hard" fortnights and raids are just gearchecks, once youve got the necessary units, grinded the extremely tedious special levels up, and build one of the few working teams you're set, all you have to do is hit perfects which is pretty easy.
It's literally babbys first freemium trap.

I got tired of this.
Most of the newer descends were frustrating shit. More and more of them became "if you don't kill them in one turn, you're dead" for the whole descend. Even worse were the "do 20-30% damage, no more, no less for 3 turns or you're dead" that made you vulnerable to both orb trolling AND skyfalls.
Then there's the reliance on awakenings, skill ups, plus eggs and very specific monsters that kills team diversity and encourages whaling.
It just wasn't fun having 3 attempts a day where they all failed because a skyfall meant that you did a million more damage than allowed and it was now impossible to win or that after spending 15 minutes on a tough level, you got orbtrolled when skillbound on a boss that'll kill you if you don't get a combo of 6+
