I'm scared of fucking up my 3DS

I just can't work up the desire to do it. I have to read technical documentation and troubleshoot a lot at work, so doing all that for my 3DS on my own time just feels like a waste when I know I wouldn't play it anymore than I do now if I did hack it. I was really into Wii homebrew back in high school, but I haven't put more than 30 minutes into trying to hack my 3DS.
