What if Junpei and Akane don't know each other? This could be a key plot point in Team C. Akane and Junpei, along with Carlos, will have no idea what's going on in this Decision Game, and they won't recognize each other. This will be like a K or Seven situation, they might not even know what their own names are.
That way Junpei won't be prioritizing Akane over Carlos, and vice versa. It would make things more fair in the decision games.
I don't know, I just have a huge feeling that's going to happen in ZTD. It seems like something Uchikoshi would do.

There's already been a screenshot of team C talking about Zero and Brother, so I don't think any of them have long-term amnesia. The Decision games also seems to leave the actual decisions to the team leader, so Carlos will be the one to sacrifice one of them. It doesn't rule out Junpei killing Akane outside what the game forces you to do, but I can't see him having the intent of killing Akane after chasing her for a year of answers.

No. There are two consciousness. At the end of VLR they say as much. When one gets flung forward, the other replaces the one in the past.

By "same" yes, they have the same mesh. But they can be rendered at different resolutions. That's why VLR looked better on the Vita. It was rendered at a higher resolution. That's why ZTD will look better on PC than Vita and better on Vita than 3DS, because they'll be rendered at higher resolutions.
