This game, and a lot of other games nowadays have a devious formula involved.
I'm not talkin about the usual skinner box formula at all.
I'm talking about the game preying on the natural passive aggressive nature of people who play video games when it comes to playing stuff with friends.
No one wants to be that one person who quits playing a game because the second someone stops playing a co op/multiplayer/play with your friends game, everyone else takes the chance to stop playing to one by one because that one person "broke up the group".
So everyone is nervously playing the game, bored out of their mind, hoping SOMEONE ELSE takes the bullet so they themselves can stop playing.
Everyone acted like they had a gun to their head if they weren't enjoying the game.
It was so painful to see these people, grown adults, doing this to themselves and one another.
No one wants to be the one who breaks up the group.

There are plenty of other games out there and if they complain about not playing together then they need to broaden their horizon and try some new stuff. I met a group of amazing people after playing solo Destiny for months and only using LFG. Not buying The Division after everyone else decided to get it was so hard but I figure we're good enough friends now we'll still stay in touch and them playing The Division allows me to play some other games from the backlog in the meantime. But yea honestly the only reason why I'd ever buy this game is to play with them. And talking to them some of them are honestly only playing the game because they are playing it together, some of them don't even seem to like it much.
