They were both great desu family,In my opinion i think the reason they're good is that whenever mechs were involved Japan used to be able to make some decent/great games like Armored core,Gundam vs.,Macross Triangle frontier,pre-R A.C.E. games.
now it's your typically jrpg fare,not that I don't like those types of games, but they're extremely over saturated.
