If you care about story, Burst on 3DS and Shinovi are a must.
The Versus games are set in a "6 months later" alternate universe and added two extra schools to the original two. Estival is a continuation of Shinovi taking parts from each main story.

The game really should have just been called Senran Kagura Yumi Versus. The game almost entirely focused on Gessen with a bit of new Hebijo. Hanzo was slightly involved with Sayuri being Asuka's grandma but Homupals were almost completely irrelevant. You could have cut them entirely and the game wouldnt be any different.

Most of the characters have only melee attacks and maybe one or two projectile moves, whereas essentially all of Mirai's moves are ranged attacks. That's why her dash moves her backwards. It's kind of weird to compare her to the other characters as if they're supposed to play the same. Did you only play as her a couple times? The only other ranged character like her is Kafuru, and I don't really see how she's much worse than her.

- A) the difficulty is too low and the enemies die before you can get even warmed up. Can't even try practicing moves because the enemies just wipe out at the gentlest touch.
