Why doesn't Nintendo use Pauline in the Mario spin-offs?

A) She's not a princess. She doesn't come with the sticker of royalty that guarantees fresh. She's a normal woman in gaudy earrings, a red dress, thick make-up, and has a huge rack.
B) She was a definite love interest for Mario in the past. Bringing her up again makes kids question who she is, leading to the question of what her relationship with Mario is.
Nintendo doesn't want the status of Mario and Peach to be anything but simple and pure. Pauline is exactly the opposite of that. She's a ratchet hoe throwing a ratchet wrench in the cogs of the machine. They're not going to put her in anything except for the small MvDK titles.

uh except rosalina already fills about the same role and literally nobody gives a shit. if anything they should just bring her in so that they can have 4 mario guys and 4 mario girls and then pair them all off in one game to put the issue to rest. wario gets rosalina in a VegetaxBulma unexpected pairing and waluigi gets the sex kitten in OP's pic, makes sense

Because it would be confusing to the majority of people. Most people think the Mario x Peach couple is the power couple of Mario and introducing his previous girlfriend wold just be a hassle.
