I used to play Pokemon Shuffle until I got in to around stage 275. I found it too hard to keep going without paying coins, which were slow to get in the first place. But even then, when I used coins, it only increased my chances of winning or getting new Pokemon, instead of guaranteeing a win. It's a pretty dirty tactic frankly, and when I could no longer win without pulling out a CC, I stopped. Final Fantasy Record Keeper was also similar in this bullshit so I quit it as well.
Now I play roll the ball because fuck phone games really.

On iOS you can force Dungeon of the Endless and Shadowrun Dragonfall to run on an iPhone if you can stand the small UI. Warhammer 40k Deathwatch is alright for a mobile strategy game.
There's also a shitload of Super Hot ripoff games, some of them new and some of them came out when the original demo came out.
Otherwise, I've been emulating DS games. They actually work pretty well if you have a phone with a tall screen like an iPhone 6, then you change the layout to have a gap between the two screens where you put the virtual controls. Bottom screen is large enough to touch comfortable, in landscape mode your stretch out the top screen since a lot of games just play on that.

Playing Shadowrun and Baldur's Gate with the S-Pen on a Note 5 is great. Helps with the small interface. I'm guessing they have something like that for iPhones.

Nah, not outside third party stuff. See, Dungeon of the Endless and Shadowrun Dragonfall are iPad only apps, but if jailbroken you can force them to run on an iPhone. They're perfectly playable, though the UI is quite small. It's best if you have a 6+/6s+ which have huge screens. Apple should consider putting a special stylus or something like the Note 5 if they're gonna make huge phones like that.
