Incredibly dull and poorly thought out game.

I'm glad there's finally a loot-based game that isn't based off mythical stuff. This was the exact setting I've wanted for a while now, a current setting loot-based game. I'm liking it so far and can't wait to see the end-game builds and items. The only problem I have with this game is that there doesn't seem to be a strong end-game. There's no raids, exciting bosses (that aren't bosses that have some special move or anything).
Overall though, it's not a bad game. I'd say somewhere along a 7.
Buggy ass shit that even Ubisoft tech support admits is broken with no patches to fix them in the forseeable future
>>331281179
grind fest, black thug murder simulator, literally no end game, whole PvP gimmick is brokenoverall pretty fun
Fun game with potential that is suffering because of severe lack of end game content and the train wreck that is the Dark Zone. I've put in 50 hours, I had my fun, but at this point I really only log on to do my dailies and then I log off, but I haven't even done that in two days. I'm just waiting for whatever they have planned on releasing this week, as well as the content patch next month. It's just Destiny all over again. Content dry and repetitive for the people who powered to end game, now we have to wait for the game to get updated to actually be good. Hopefully I haven't lost interest by then.

Fun co-op game, but with shitty PvP
If you plan on playing solo or for the Dark Zone then stay away. Otherwise it's a decent loot-and-shoot game when played with friends but a missed opportunity otherwise. It's basically wasted potential: the game.
>>331281490

Like most ubisoft games
>Not opening up with at least one incursion at release.
>No actual incentive to go Rogue in DZ, making it just ever more grinding.
>No missions set in the DZ where several groups of agents take on mutally exclusive goals.

It's what Nether should have been at release, except this game is third person and there are no mutated creatures. I like it, but fuck me if the Dark Zone is not meticulous as shit. People with high ranked gear camp the low tier places. Even if you are at level 30 and DZ 30 you're still fucked if you go past the 3rd out of 6 section of the zone. Farm this farm that. I just want more of the story, but y'know, DLC plans.I hate myself for buying the season pass today, but I have high hopes that the add ons will add much more sustainable content than Destiny did.House of Wolves is better than Taken King. Really repetitive and honestly a grind most of the time. I spend all this time getting all the base wing upgrades and nothing happens, so it feels absent of any real reward. Also, you really hit a wall as soon as you run out of missions because encounters and Dark Zone PvP are pretty fucking boring. The only thing I'm playing for at this point islooting accessories so I can play dress up with my virtual avatar like the autistic little girl I am.
I will say this, I went into it expecting absolutely nothing and came out of it pleasantly surprised. Also, my roommate fucking sucks at it (~20 hours and still level 14 lol).

They all ground to lvl 30 as soon as they could, then ran through dark zone and ground that too.
I start playing and am digging the setting, the isolation, picking things up, i like stalking through the abandoned city. Exploring, picking up the phones and listening to the chaos.
Friends join my game.
"we'll run you through the levels, we'll replay them on hard to grind you faster"

And by glitch hard I mean not even be able to log in.
They have literally said it'll be a month at least till they can fix it. They don't apparently have a tool to go into players accounts, hence the wait time. Affects all platforms. Source is ubiforums if you wanna go look.

You never gave any information to back up your original claims in the first place. Just spewing buzzwords like "Visceral gameplay" and "Phenomenal loot system with exciting combinations" doesn't make them substantiated arguments with merit. Shouting PROVE ME WRONG doesn't change that.
>>331285348
No it's not. It's boring and the sound design is absolutely shit. You can't make visceral gameplay or good gunplay in a game with braindead bulletsponge enemies. It's just stats. And it's fine for a ARPG but not for a TPS.
It's a casual game for casuals, the same as all ubisoft games. Whether you like it depends on whether you like playing mediocre mechanics long after they've stopped being novel.
>>331285924
The fact that you're familiar with those sites says a lot more about you than it does about me. Nice projection though.
The saving grace for me is the story, and that's just from the collectibles.
It's refreshing to not have an apocalypse from zombies or nukes but from a very real scenario like a pandemic, and getting to see the results and how civilization degrades and we all turn on each other.
I'll probably stop playing once I complete all missions and find all the collectibles though, I'm not interested in grinding through the DZ, just like I was with Destiny, though the story wasn't nearly as good so I never bothered finishing that game.
This game makes me wish for a sequel set in the same universe but without all that MMO shit, just a greatly expanded single player experience.

Oh no, some of them share enemy archetypes, like snipers and engineers. shit game 0/10
>>331287342
>ad populum
Fuck off. Doesn't even make sense in this context.
>>331287709
It makes perfect sense. "Most people who played it liked it" is a fallacy. You fuck off.
>>331287578
The biggest con for me is that you can get through all of the content in 2 days and then there's nothing to do but grind gear in preparation of future content, which they keep nerfing to artificially drag out how long their game lasts.
>>331287485
>progression is based on farming phoinex credits making DZ credits mostly pointless.
Nub. Every single special enemy with a name you kill will earn you phoenix credits. And DZ has lots of respawning ones. You can FARM phoenix credits from the DZ. Not to mention many DZ endors sell yellow plans for DZ credits.
>>331287491
Hence why I wanted another skill tree to go with it. Could be cool. Bladed melee shreds armor or something. Blunt could cause a flashbang like affect
>>331287804
>Every single special enemy with a name you kill will earn you phoenix credits
They nerfed it. They used to drop 15 phoenix credits, now they drop 1 or 2. It's an extreme waste of time to farm phoenix credits in the darkzone when you can just farm lincoln tunnel and get 30 every 15 minutes
>>331287741
Ad populum implies a falacy based off of collective misperception. This is not what you are implying.
>>331287652
>Yea but it's designed so you play with people around the same level as you, not 20 levels above you
That's a design flaw on the part of Ubisoft. Most multiplayer online games scale enemies down to the lowest member or average level of the party. Playing with randoms is shit compared to your mates.
>And yes you can buy Yellow blueprints with DZ credit.
The best gear is bought through Phoinex Coins. End game in the Division is all about farming PC.
>get yellow gear item at the end of a challenge mission
>it's worse than my current purple
yellows are too hard to get tbqh
>>331287906
You just described exactly what I'm implying.
>>331287809
You might actually be retarded
>>331287956
Not him but yeah, you literally have no idea what that phrase means.
>>331287910
>The best gear is bought through Phoinex Coins. End game in the Division is all about farming PC.
We've seen 3 Phoenix Credit shop resets, and the blueprints have been the same for all 3. Only the purples switched. What you see now is what you get, and there are things missing.
Base of Operations and DZ06 safehouses don't sell weapon mods for every mod slot. Some high end mod blueprints are only available from other DZ safehouses for DZ$, not PCredits
>>331288036
I looked it up to make sure and I know exactly what it means.
>Not him
Sure buddy.
>>331287910
>phoenix coins
Actually, it's worse than that. It's all about the division tech
I'll buy it on summer sale or once it's under €15.
>>331288145
This. The game is already pretty cheap right now but what's the point when I don't have people to play with and it's plagued by hackers. The Dark Zone was a good idea but they fucked up massively on execution.
>>331288145
>>331288219
Better to wait until they release more content. A lot of it is going to be DLC but some of it'll be general updates
>>331288282
The annoying part is if I ever do get the game I'll be way behind on the gear treadmill, unless they reset it with new toptier gear. Thats what I hate about loot-based games, you either get in early or your fucked. IIRC they nerfed the drop rate on high end gear after the first week.
I would have liked it more if there were some kind of mutants or monsters (no zombies), killings thugs is not that fun after a while
>>331288393
>You either get in early or your fucked
How? I got the game a week after my friends did, but I've caught up to them and now I'm doing challenge missions with them. I don't see how changing that week to a month or a year is going to fuck someone.
>Beta launches
>Get to 8
>PvP is fun
>Game launches
>Get to 30
>PvP is shit because it now boils down to ultimates
Fuck this is boring. Everyone is running the Defense ultimate and it makes engagements so fucking boring. Dark Zone was much more fun in the Beta.
>>331288074
No. Saying most people that played it liked it isn't even a falacy. Pic related.
Ad populum applies to when everyone though the world was flat, or various urban myths, shit like that. Not someone saying most people enjoyed the game that played it.
>>331281179
Fine by me
>>331288545
Ad populim applies when majority perception is used to justify something as true. Saying most people played it liked it implies it was a good game for that reason.
>>331288545
There was never a time in history when everyone thought the earth was flat.
The Earth being round was known from about 400-200 B.C., maybe even earlier, historians can't quite agree on that
>>331288676
No. It just means most people liked it.
>>331287128
>no one actually thinks it's perfect
>>331288676
>Ad populim applies when majority perception is used to justify something as true.
True. It doesn't matter whether they were right or not, it's still a fallacy.
Except there are cases where something is "true" based on what majority perception says it is. The meaning of words, for example, or general consensus, or what the majority opinion is for a video game. And the majority opinion is that the game is good.
>>331288507
Are you kidding? The difference between a week and a year is massive. A week is nothing, especially if you have friends to level boost you and barely anyone except the most dedicated of players have the best gear in the endgame.
Even then you're going to have to spend 100 hours to grind for the same gear that used to take 10 hours to get. The only way to fix this is if Ubisoft makes that gear obsolete with newer gear in future updates. Which will most likely happen.
>>331288813
>The meaning of words
>or what the majority opinion is for a video game
Only one of these things is valid based on argument ad populum
>Anon! Go rescue those hostages
>Fight through a series of purple and yellow enemies
>Open cage where hostages being held
>There's a loot crate behind them
>It has a fucking assault rifle in it.
These niggers serious?
The grind to 30 is pretty mindnumbing
all the encounters give pretty shit exp, the only useful part of them is if you need a few extra resources, better to do them overleveld if ever
the missions themselves, are really really hollow, its all "go to this spot, have a shoot out, move to next spot, another shootout", none of them have any depth
once you hit cap its all about the challenge missions and other daily resets, todays daily weapon was a crazy ass SCAR, which sucks too because if youre under 30 you probably cant afford it let alone have the option to buy it, so without being capped you miss out on gear, and if you dont log in every day, you miss out on gear
this also applies to cosmetics which can be bought daily
DZ lvls are pretty worthless after 30
DZ is as shallow as the main game, and PVP is pretty shitty right now, if you dont have your signature and the other group does, youre fucked
go into the DZ alone and youre also fucked
go into the DZ with a matchmaking group and you can expect some fun and good loot, until you try to extract, because one person is going to leave the party, rogue your ass, and then his buddies take the gear.
the only way to do DZ and actually get loot is to play with friends, most of my friends are normies who arent even capped yet, so going to the DZ is a short lived affair because of timezones and shit combined with work/military duties/other shit
if they dont come out with new content within the next month the game will be dead as everybody will have farmed the fuck out of their gear to the point where they cant find upgrades
combined with the endgame being 100% bullet sponge, fights dont feel tense, they feel tiring, signature skills only decrease the time on the bullet sponge and not by a whole lot either, or they keep you from getting railed either at the mob or when you try to extract
and gl getting an extraction without 3 other groups showing up, which then puts a big target on that extraction
>>331288815
Gear is going to be obsolete though. Incursions drop set gear, which will probably be better
>>331288804
Implying that means the game is good, just not perfect. Hence Ad populum
>>331288815
>Even then you're going to have to spend 100 hours to grind for the same gear that used to take 10 hours to get
That's assuming they only nerf and never buff. They could wind up buffing the game more so that it takes 10 hours to get what it used to take people 100 hours to get.
Your argument is based on assumption
>>331288893
If most people think a game is good, then the statement "most people think the game is good" is true.
>>331288979
>Your argument is based on assumption
And yours isn't? Why do you think they're going to suddenly for no reason revert the change they made to loot drop rates?
>>331288964
Implying that your opinion is all that matters in video games
>>331289024
But it doesn't actually make the game good. Which was implied in the context of discussion.
>>331289059
Implying your opinion is all that matters because more people agree with you.
>>331288545
considering that most of those "reviews" were within the first week, i dont trust them in the least, namely because people will try and justify their purchase by circlejerking in review sections like those. SO MANY of those reviews are from people with under 5 or even 10 hours, and theyre either under 20 words or have no content whatsoever to the review. touting that number like it means anything is pointless.
go look at the DLC shit for COD games, its positive rated most of the time, does that mean its good? does that mean its worth the money? absolutely not, steam reviews are a joke
>>331288979
I don't see why they would do that considering they specifically went out of their way to nerf the game so that it takes 100 hours to get what it used to take people 10 hours to get.
>>331289147
Actually, the game had worse reviews when it first came out
>>331281490
>>331281367
Im 2 days played on a character and still level 14 on my highest
Twinking in DZ is fun as fuck
>>331289030
>Why do you think they're going to suddenly for no reason revert the change they made to loot drop rates?
The methods they nerfed were not even the fastest way to get gear. Someone who got into the game after the nerf can get full yellows in less time than it took someone who used those methods before they were nerfed
>>331289078
How does it not make the game good? Just because your fairy ass didn't like it doesn't mean it's bad
>>331289239
How does that work exactly?
>>331288695
>There was never a time in history when everyone thought the earth was flat.
Nigga, you must of failed history class. Back then, the teachings of it being flat was even enforced by Christians. If you said it's round, it went against their teachings. Galileo proved it was round but then he had to take it back or he was gonna be beheaded. He was then placed under house arrest for the rest of his life.
>>331289265
>How does it not make the game good?
Ad populum is a fallacy. Just because lowest common denominator plebs like you liked it doesn't mean it's good. No more than it makes Call of Duty the best shooter or WoW the best MMO ever made.
>>331289263
How?
>>331289341
>i didn't like it so it's shit
Fine. What do you like then?
>>331289078
Now change what I said to "If anon thinks a game is good, then the statement 'anon thinks the game is good' is true."
Now let's say someone asks anon "Is this game good"? Anon thinks it is so he says yes.
He doesn't say "I personally think it is" because this isn't how people talk. People don't add "I think" to the beginning of everything they say. It's already obvious that someone saying something is only saying what they personally think.
Nobody claimed it was objectively good. They were asked what they thought and they answered with what they thought. You turned a question of taste into an argument over semantics and logical objectivity. You're a spergelord
>>331289423
Who are you quoting? Also why does that matter? The point is "most people liked it" does not make a game good.

PvP like fucking crazy taking on entire HORDES or low level players
shit goes down with the occasional VS another well geared player or group of players and its fucking crazy fun
>>331289391
Do Lincoln Tunnel. 30 birdbux in under 10 minutes if your group is good.
Back when you could do it solo, I was doing the final mission on hard. I'd get 30 Phoenix Credits from it and it took longer than 10 minutes.
There's also a bug they're about to nerf that lets you get 1PC every 10-30 seconds depending on how you do it, but it's about to get nerfed and isn't actually that much faster than Lincoln Tunnel farming with competent players.
>>331288920
>The grind to 30 is pretty mindnumbing
Not really. Just go around the city normally and doing missions when you get to em. You can easily end up lvl 30 before you even finish all the missions.
> DZ lvls are pretty worthless after 30
There's a bunch of blueprint that can only be brought at dz lvl 50.

> go into the DZ with a matchmaking group and you can expect some fun and good loot, until you try to extract, because one person is going to leave the party, rogue your ass, and then his buddies take the gear.
Never seen that happen ever. Once you're in a party, they stick with your party.

Never seen that happen either. People just summon another helicopter and move on.

Who road to DZ level 0 here?
So much fun just playing DZ without worrying about levels. Yesterday, by myself, I terrorized 4 German guys. A perfectly timed grenade thrown in front of them as they ran, and a BFG and I got them all down.

You just keep spouting stupid shit. If a game is liked by a lot of people, then it is a success. Generally speaking, shitty games are not successful. You're arguement couldn't be more flawed. CoD may not be the most stimulating game ever but it is always well designed and has tight shooting mechanics and whether you will admit it or not, it is mindless fun as well as a huge success. Thus, a considerably better game than whatever indie bullshit you have been playing instead of giving The Division a chance.
>>331289706
>The point is, you're using some arbitrary judgement system for a game
And what judgement system is that exactly? All I did was point out that ad populum is a fallacy. I haven't used ad populum once incorrectly. By saying it makes the game good, you're using an actual flawed judgement system to defend it while only providing fallicious reasoning instead of actual reasons why it's good.
>Let's see the list of games that you think are so great then. inb4 best of v damage control
Again, why does that matter? Why do you feel the need to resort to personal attacks instead of attacking my argument?

>You just keep spouting stupid shit.

>If a game is liked by a lot of people, then it is a success.
I don't care. The arguemnt isn't about the game's sales success. The argument is about whether it's a good game or not.
>Generally speaking, shitty games are not successful.
You and I both know that's not true.
>You're arguement couldn't be more flawed.
I'm not the one implying sales=quality.
>it is always well designed and has tight shooting mechanics and whether you will admit it or not, it is mindless fun as well as a huge success
That's your shitty uninformed opinion. If you think CoD is one of the best shooters because of it's "success" then you're too stupid to reason with.
>Thus, a considerably better game than whatever indie bullshit you have been playing instead of giving The Division a chance.
I never mentioned anything about indie games. Stop projecting and desperately trying to defend your game.

Game is fun with friends. I'd never play this game alone.
I like it just fine. I have 4 days in it as of a few hours ago. It's more fun if you have a crew to play with. Single player is a chore, though I got all of the collectibles on my own time. The only trophies I have left are for killing 20 rogues (they're rare to come by in my experience) and to beat a handful of missions I have left on hard.
>>331289589
>>Nobody claimed it was objectively good
>They did based on the claim that most people liked it.
Then they made a false claim, because there is no such thing as an objectively good game. Even if 7 billion people thought it was the best game ever, all it takes is one person saying "I don't like it" (and meaning it) to stop it from being objectively good. Since the claim is false, you don't need to argue around it by pointing out fallacies.
>>331290047
You probably learned about ad populum like a week ago and use it as much as possible now so you can look smart to people even more retarded than yourself on the internet. Your opinion does not matter in the grand scheme of things. If a majority of people think something is good, it is good. If a majority of people think something is bad, it is bad. A minority of people thinking the opposite do not decide the quality of something. If almost everyone thinks MJ is the best of all time but 20 people don't think so, that doesn't make it any less true. It just makes those 20 people autistic.

>>331289327
No, you just don't read.
Vatican has most of the hermetic teachings accepted, at least those that in their opinion don't speak against christianity, among those teachings are those of Hermes who about 400-200 B.C. during a meditation realized that the whole universe came from a single point which exploded into a million pieces which then formed together under the law of Logic and formed hot "round" lumps which rotated around themselves and cooled off gradually and after some time life appeared on them and we live on one of those objects.
The church never believed in the flat earth theory, most of the well read people never believed in the flat earth theory, there were maybe a few peasants who did although I don't think tat most peasants were at all concerned with anything besides their crops, alcohol and sex.
Anyone who died because he was waging a fight against the church, which knew the earth wasn't flat, which had libraries with books that stated the earth wasn't flat, in order to prove the earth wasn't flat is an idiot who wasted his life.
Anyone else see the rat man? It's just a dude standing around showing off his bundle of rats that he has by the tails. This is the best pic I could get of him.

I haven't played in 2 days. I have literally nothing to do except grind for a possibly better weapon/gear, but we all know the drops are shit 99% of the time. I don't feel like wasting time hunting a slightly better weapon when I have a ton of games to play in my backlog.
Challenge modes are unfun, and the Dark Zone is nauseatingly repetitive, jumping between the same 5-6 landmarks the whole time. No one fights because the penalties are too severe. There's no loot worth stealing anyway.
this game sounds like everything wrong with the industry.

>A minority of people thinking the opposite do not decide the quality of something.
A majority of people thinking the opposite does not decide the quality of something. Quality isn't determined by majority opinion, that's an indisputable fact. Just because 20 million flies loves shit doesn't make shit taste delicious.
You have no argument, just character attacks and lame attempts at appealing to the majority. Which makes you more retarded and autistic than anyone else.

I didn't say CoD was one of the best shooters of all time, in fact I said it was mindless. However, it is always well put together with good fps mechanics. Now as for The Division, the game has good (not stellar) tps mechanics, a great premise, a good story, great loot and an interesting setting. All of that and most people think it is a good game. How do you get to decide that it isn't?

Its very solid game, has good ideas, is centered around gameplay which I love, has tons of details, the world's all one block that you only load into once, missions are varied and fun to teamwork through, upgrading bases is always cool to see too.
Cons is the novelty seemed to wear off fast. I was very into it the first 20 hours but now I'm level 21 and don't really have a drive to play anymore. Although that could just be all games because I don't want to play anything else really either. I burned myself out on vidya these last couple weeks. >But why shouldn't I? The claim is false after all.
Because the claim is false. The fallacy doesn't have anything to do with that. If someone says "Almost everyone agrees with me that the world is round" it doesn't mean the world isn't round. They've still committed a fallacy by implying that what people personally think about something has anything to do with it, but their claim that the world is round isn't false.
>objecitvely BAD games do exist
Unless you can get everyone in the world to play it and each say it's a bad game, then you can't really make that claim without some level of assumption. And if assumption is involved than it isn't truly objective. A game like that COULD exist but there would be no feasible way to logically prove that it does.
>>331291727
>someone engineered a virus that has never been seen before
A money virus. A well executed plan by Terrorists to use Black Friday shopping as a means to kill people using a MONEY VIRUS.
But yeah you right a virus used to wipe out NYC is a great and original premise that has never been done before and is worthy of praise. Because most people like the game.
Get a fucking grip dude.

>LMB sniper gets set on fire
>>331291954
dare I ask for source on that pic?
>>331291901
Not him, but a broken game is an objectively bad one. There's no assumption needed there. If you think there's no feasible way to logically prove that it is then you're beyond reason.

Post your agents.
>>331291942
>>331291147 is saying that the premise is people bringing large amounts of cash to black friday, but even though the money is spread by cash, that's not the premise. Someone who handed over $5 and got a $1 bill in change could have been infected. The amount of money any ol' shopper brought along on Black Friday has nothing to do with it. It's the amount of money that changes hands.
>>331292042
Every game has something broken in it. They're called bugs, and there has never been a bug free game.
>>331291942

You mean a virus that just so happens to be spread through money? So if it had been in cupcakes, it would be a cupcake virus? Or doorknob virus if it was spread by doorknobs?
>>331292107
>that's not the premise
That literally is the premise though.
You're literally going out of your way to defend the story of this game. The story of a money virus infecting NYC on Black Friday. Use your head for a single second and realize how stupid you're being. This is the worst hill you could have chosen to die on.
>>331291534

Get the fuck out
>>331292186
>that just so happens
Give me a fucking break. The story is beyond retarded and you know it. Even most people who think its a good game know it.
>>331292167
The fact that bugs exist in every game does not excuse games that are broken. A broken game is objectively bad by any reasonable metric.
Relativists are the worst fucking people to deal with. Period. What's the fucking point of having a discussion about anything if "hurr its everyone opinion dey all matter the same!"?
>>331292187
"People bringing a lot of money to Black Friday" isn't the premise. The premise is "People EXCHANGED a lot of money on Black Friday and spread a disease in the process".

Fuck are you talking about? The ONLY times you have to load are when you enter an instance or fast travel. There are 0 loading times when traversing through the city.
>>331292187
It's not a money virus.
It's modified smallpox. Initial outbreak was started with cash, that's all.
>>331292307

>>331292236
Did the money create the virus? Is that why its a money virus? Because it definitely isn't a strain of small pox, its the very seldom heard of 'money virus.'
>>331292303
>>331292323
Now you're just arguing semantics. I get that you want to defend the Division against the haters or whatever, but this is just fucking stupid.

I'm not the one who started the argument to begin with. It's not my fault that relativists love to pull the subjectivity card when defending their games.
The division is like a big cafe sandwich.
The place is full of macbook faggots, but you decide to go anyway.
Then you buy your coffee and the sandwich.
You would normally pay about 6$ for that but in this big cafe it costs 18$
>18$ What the fuck? Fine.
Then you go to your table looking at the smug assholes eating their vegan bullshit.
Then you take your first bite out of that sandwich and notice that the edges have dried up.
The middle of the sandwich is soggy as fuck
And it only looks good, taste is mediocre.
The faggots sold you cup of coffee and a 8 hour old sandwich for 18$
>You were retarded enough to pay for it.
>>331292473
>wholly misrepresent the premise
>get called out
>"you're just arguing semantics"
Shoppers a lot of money on their person has nothing to do with anything about how the virus spread. Anyone who had ANY money was at risk of spreading it, and once it began spreading, the money itself stopped mattering because it was spread through things like doorknobs and handrails
>>331292473
My point is that the guy obviously has not touched the game or he would know simple shit like that. How can you argue against something without knowing anything about it?

>>331292303
>The premise is "People EXCHANGED a lot of money on Black Friday and spread a disease in the process".
Which happened because New Yorkers bring large amounts of cash to buy things on Black Friday
>>331292590
You're not wrong because it's a fucking amazing 10/10 game.
>>331292762
No. The only person that needs to have brought large amounts of cash is the person who brought the infected money.
>go to store
>get a coffee for $2
>get infected money back
>now you're infected
>go to store
>get a TV for $2000
>get infected money back
>now you're infected
It doesn't matter how much money you had, the only thing that matters is the fact that you had money to spend at all. You can exchange money without having large amounts of it. In fact, this is how most people exchange cash money: in small amounts.
>>331292793
That's what I'm saying
>only buy popular games most people think is good
>never be wrong when defending your games because they're popular
>anyone who disagrees with you is an autistic hipster
It's that simple.
>>331292878
The virus was spread through large amounts of money though. It wasn't just a single on black friday.
Also you're still pedantically arguing semantics
>>331292886
Shut the fuck up.
>>331292690
It's not really ad hominem though.
And it's not really fanboy like you linked.
Having played the game gives more insight into the game than having not played it. That's just logic.

>babbys first argument
>>331292886

>It's not about semantics. It's about you being completely factually wrong about everything you've said
No it's about semantics. You're quibbling over the difference between a large amount of cash being used to spread a virus and a small amount of cash used to spread a virus, even though ultimately they're both incredibly idiotic premises.

I know /v/ can be obtuse sometimes but cmon.
>>331293270
>You're quibbling over the difference between a large amount of cash being used to spread a virus and a small amount of cash used to spread a virus,
No, I'm saying that the amount of money each person has is in no way relevant. It doesn't matter if they have a large amount. It doesn't matter if they have a small amount. It doesn't matter if they even had money, if they were asked to hold someone's purseor stole a pursefrom who was spending money then they were still at risk of infection. The amount of money any shopper had has nothing to do with the premise in any way.

And yet you're arguing petty semantics between the two
>It doesn't matter if they even had money
Right, it's just the item used to spread the virus. But sure money had nothing to do with the virus in any way.
Give it up kid.
>>331293482
If the guy put the virus on subway seats and taxi doors we could still have the same situation
Insisting that thet money itself was important to the premise is arguing semantics.
>>331293364
I guess? I mean, if you legitimately look at it it makes a certain sense. Dropping off some 1$ bills at as many places as popular would hit a lot of people.
Black friday brick and mortar store sales are primarily the older generations. People growing up with the internet primarily use it for sales, excepting door buster nonsense. Older generations tend to prefer cash or cheques as opposed to debit cards.
Come in, buy the toy if the season, get change. Change is infected. Go to a different store, infect things/people there. Go home. Infect family. Etc
>>331293026
>It's not really ad hominem though.
It's the quintessential ad hominem. "You haven't actually played it" is one of the most overussed meme tier fanboy defenses on /v/.
Someone called out the dumb premise of the game and you got backed into a corner you resorted so you accused of never having even touched the game.
The game had an open beta where over 6 million people played the game. A beta that includes the opening premise of the main story. And yet you fanboys still, STILL insist on using meme arguments and hamhanded accusations to defend it. It just reeks of desperation.
Also it was implied the game had a great premise among other positives because most people think it's a good game.
>>331281179
I pity Tom's ghost.
>>331293619
That's not the premise of the game though. But even if it was it would still be pretty stupid.

The money itself was used to spread the virus you fucking moron.

You know we're talking about New York City here right? People do not spend cash on
I almost can't believe you people are trying to justify this. Almost.
>>331293768
>That's not the premise of the game though.
The premise of the game is that a city got infected and people have to come and fix the city. It doesn't matter what city. It doesn't matter what disease. It doesn't matter how the disease spread. It doesn't matter what government organization the player character is a part of.
All that matters is
>city in trouble
>go shoot people
That's the premise. To argue that anything else is important to the premise is arguing semantics
>>331293098
No, the problem is when you like a game that is popular. If a majority of people think something is good, it is good. A minority of people thinking the opposite do not decide the quality of something. If you think a popular game is bad then you're a hipster and theres nothing you can say to change that.
>>331287704

>To argue that anything else is important to the premise is arguing semantics
You don't know what semantics is. Stop embarrsing yourself.
>>331293953
No, the game is amazing. It has a great premise, a good story, great loot and an interesting setting. All of that and most people think it is a good game. How do you get to decide that it isn't?
>>331294030
>You don't know what semantics is.
You just argued semantics over semantics. Good job, anon that's pretty meta.
>>331293872
I dunno. I don't live in New York. I find it hard to believe that not one person would use cash. Or ask for cash back.
Which ultimately, for the plot to work would only need one person to be infected initially.
Not about justification. It's plausible, that's all. I'm not saying it's the greatest story ever written. Could it feasibly happen? Sure, why not?
>>331294220

>>331294630
here we go
>>331294539
Again, what would you prefor instead?
Why do you have such an issue with someone using money as the initial vector for a virus?
I'm enjoying it so far, I play pretty much exclusively with a friend. We're at about level 20 at the moment; every few days we drop in for a co-op session. We'll head for a mission, carry out any sidequests or encounters on the way, try to find famous bits of New York to
gawk at like the Flatiron building or the municipal library in the Dark Zone.
Gameplay is decent, I like the loop of advancing through cover and flanking enemies; it makes me feel like the main mechanics of a game like XCOM turned into a TPS. The loot grind is fine, the numbers keep going up. The world itself is nice, I like the atmosphere of it. That said, it does have some dumb things to it, like the invincible civilians, plot points that don't make much sense.
>>331294597
You say more interesting
>>331294539
Thinks it ludicrous.
Is it boring or silly then?
>>331294665
Take it from a veryoldfag, it's not a myth.
>>331294742
>Is it boring or silly then?
It's both. Chorizos would have been silly, they could have maybe gone with a more interesting carrier for the virus. Instead they settled for a boring and cliche money is bad premise.
I don't really see why the premise is so worthy of praise when the rest of the story is rubbish. You guys aren't actually the Division for the story right?
>>331294857
Sure newfag.
The games okay. I enjoy the story and setting, and the flavor collectibles do a nice job of making the world a tad more real.
Can't stand the fucking community though, especially PvP. Twinking is rampant more than WoW, so if you're not max level or know precisely what to min max you're gonna eat shit. Doesn't help that you can't see an opposing players DZ level until after you're lying dead, and the game let's people of any level run anywhere really, so expect to bite the dust.
Grouping with people and doing missions I enjoy a lot, but the PvP is beyond cancerous in this state.
>>331294670
>plot points that don't make much sense.
The plot points make perfect sense. To argue anything else is semantics. Most people like the game.

>>331284146

The ultimates ruin the game.
>>331294875
>Money is bad premise
But if we want to be serious wouldn't something like a money actually be a good thing to infect?
I'm sure people catch stuff all the time from bills changing hands.
>>331294875
Hell no. And I was assuming that everyone who said it was great was false flagging because anyone who's played it knows that anyone saying 10/10 great game/great story/great characters is full of shit.
I'm just saying it's not out of the realm of possiblity. It does its job. That's it.
You guys do realize that The Division takes place WEEKS after the virus got around, not like the day after black friday, right?
>>331295124
You're wrong though. The Division is 10/10 great game/great story/great characters. All of that and most people think it is a good game. How do you get to decide that it isn't?
>>331295153
>WEEKS after the virus got around
>cars in the street still have lights on
>fresh tire tracks despite it snowing constantly and nobody driving
Great game sweden
>>331295153
You realize nobody said it takes place only a day after right? How does that change anything?
>>331295117
Maybe? Quite possibly it would only work on black friday. Viruses tend to have issue surviving on random surfaces over periods of time. But this is getting into specifics
It's pretty fun. Less variety of content than Destiny and more mundane overall, but more content in sheer hours, co-op is more fun, and the end-game content seems more promising. Plus, free DLC was promised iirc, so that's nice.
>>331295016
No, I mean: the specific one I'm thinking of is:
>power plant mission
>the Rikers are going to blow up the power plant with bombs, for some poorly-explained reason! Stop them!
>defuse bombs
>enemy boss: well fine, instead of bombs we'll blow up the power plant by making it overload somehow while we're all still inside!
>oh no, now we need to turn all of these valves placed all over the plant to stop the self-destruct sequence otherwise this power plant will somehow explode like a bomb!
It's silly, it feels like something out of a cartoon or dumb action flick, and not something I'd expect from a Tom Clancy game.
>>331295220
Not that guy, but I wouldnt give it a 10/10 because the end game isn't great. Relying on DZ as an end game terrible because you just get wrecked by people with a ton gear better than you, and to get better gear you have to DZ or farm the last mission on the hardest difficulty
It's a different loot game though, too many loot games that came out kept using the same diablo-style combat and gameplay. I got tired of d3/poe/grim dawn and borderlands is repetitive as fuck. Dying light and the expansion is great, but that game has literally no end game, even with the legend levels there's no reason to keep playing.
>>331295220
Thanks for providing an example
Tom Clancy's: Gears of Destiny.
Fuck at least Destiny had some interesting lore locked behind those bullshit cards and had sweet ass handcannons.
>>331295316
You're entirely wrong. If you legitimately look at it it makes a certain sense
That's not silly. It's plausable.

You haven't played any of the modern TC games. I think all of the TC games past r6v2 (and included maybe) had trash stories.
>>331295359
You just keep spouting stupid shit. If a game is liked by a lot of people, then it is a success. Generally speaking, shitty games are not successful. You're arguement couldn't be more flawed. It's a considerably better game than whatever indie bullshit you have been playing instead of giving The Division a chance.
>>331295367
I don't need to. Most people think it's good.
>>331295092
Fixed it.
>>331295491
I don't know what you mean about "you keep spouting shit" when I'm a completely different person you're talking with. I bought the game and I like it, but I'm stating that it's nowhere near a 10/10 game. I don't know how you can find this a 10/10 game when there's obvious flaws that even the most hardcore players notice.
>>331295515
Nope you broke it
>>331295316
There's actually story for it, you just have to pay attention to the echos, watch the evidence, gather collectibles.
It's a shame they locked what story there is behind so much crap.

>>331295270
More time for exposure? Spreads by money only at first but then from person to person.
>>331295359
D3 still works because of seasons, which provide new sets that people wanna try as well as the Greater Rift Leaderboards, so you always have people competing.
I agree with you wholey, centering endgame around a PvP zone is retarded. You get absolutely destroyed by people with better gear so you cant progress, so your only other option is to grind a handful of stuff over and over and over.
>>331294757
That isn't a rebuttal.
>>331295567
What flaws? Why do you think they're flaws? Because you don't like them? Implying that your opinion is all that matters in video games. Most people liked it.

>>331295609
The story is trash. The sub plots, which include the phones, echos, missing agents, etc are good. The main story just feels like a basic "bad guys are bad because they are bad". I don't expect a good story from a loot game though, so having good sub-plots worth reading or listening to is impressive.
>>331295704
Dear god. I like the game but you're making me hate myself for it. Please stop
>fighting using modern weaponry against thugs and niggers

>>331295732
Oh the irony.
I've been here long enough to realize it's a myth, you're still a newfag who perpetuates bullshit to defend your shitty taste.
>>331295491
>A lot of people bought it therefore it is successful
You can have something that appeals to the masses and be a financial success, but could pale in comparison to past projects.
The division was made to seel, it doesn't mean its good.
>>331295820
Wut
I haven't even played The Division.
>>331295824
Why because you say so? Your opinion does not matter in the grand scheme of things. If a majority of people think something is good, it is good. If a majority of people think something is bad, it is bad. A minority of people thinking the opposite do not decide the quality of something. If almost everyone thinks MJ is the best of all time but 20 people don't think so, that doesn't make it any less true. It just makes those 20 people autistic.
>>331295801
No. A game is only as good as how many people think it is. This is the way it has to be.
>>331295874
Then why are you here defending it?
>>331295797
>Bad guys are bad because they are bad
Rioters are rioters. There will always be people who take advantage of disaster situations to spread chaos.
The Rikers are escaped criminals, so this makes sense as well.
Cleaners are a grey area of "ends justify the means." A lot of the collectibles explain their drive and beliefs. They believe themselves chaotic good would be a good explanation I supposem
>>331295989
I was just talking about the stupid picture trying to make /v/ look like it has any sense of whether a game is good or not.
>>331295704
The flaws are flaws that most people agree upon. Look at forums, reviews, even the subreddit. Just because people like it it doesn't mean the game is flawless.
The end game is bad. Relying on DZ as an endgame is a terrible decision because to get good items efficiently you have to dark zone, but a lot of people in dark zone have the best weapons, so you just get wrecked by people playing with their top builds and you can't extract. It leaves you to farming one mission on the hardest mode, and even then you won't get yellows. Not to mention you lose DZ levels and currency when you die.
Also the side missions are repetitive, for example the fixing pipe one was used 4-5 times, with the same exact sewer layout. The interesting ones with stories behind them though make up for it.
Another problem is server issues can really fuck you up. I lost 2 hours of progress because it said my account didn't sync with the server, so I had to revert to the last server save state. That shit sucked.
Other than that I like the game. I'm just not shill enough to call it perfect. A good game doesn't' have to be perfect
>>331295424
It seems implausible. The way radio man described it, the turbines were going to suffer a build up of pressure until they exploded, which would have taken out the surrounding neighbourhood.
I find it hard to believe that the steam/turbine system of a power plant would be designed with such tolerances that a steam pressure buildup could be allowed to occur to such a point where it caused an explosion big enough to destroy the entire power plant and surrounding area. Or that the only way to stop such a thing from happening would be to activate multiple valves placed far apart from each other. It seems the opposite of safe.
I get the reason for it, the mission itself was exciting, but it seems a bit goofy.
>>331295609
I do like the story elements, the side stuff, the general plot is interesting. Just there's occasional things which seem silly.
Like how in one minute you'll pick up a phone recording where a father listens helplessly to their son panicking as rioters break in and murder him, or an ECHO recording of some civilians being burned alive by Cleaners; then you'll unlock a safehouse and the quest giver there has a wacky gimmick like being a hippy or overly literal or constantly referencing the fact that they were on TV.
It's a bit like that weird disconnect in GTA games between a somewhat serious plot and the extreme parody of the world, but in a game like this it feels weirder.
>Rogue system is shit
>scaling is awful
>Phoenix Credit nerf shows how little they thought about the economy in everything
>little variation in enemy types and there is no way to really expand on it
>Challenge mode is dodging 1000 grenades and trying not to die to a shotgun guy
I wish this wasn't a Tom Clancy game, just so they could have literally done anything with the mechanics, the map and shit other than realistic enemies and scenario.
>>331296029
The problem with the story isn't that it's unreaslistic or not feasable. A game can be logically consistent while uninteresting and poorly written.
>>331295981
>>331295824
A game that is made to sell and successfully does so is a good game.
The Division has good (not stellar) tps mechanics, a great premise, a good story, great loot and an interesting setting. All of that and most people think it is a good game. How do you get to decide that it isn't?
>>331296147
No I understand, but I just feel you saying "bad guys are bad for the sake of being bad" was a bit unfair, because I feel a lot of their reasoning makes sense is all.
>>331296029
I had no problem with rioters and rikers. My main gripe was the cleaners, that's what really killed the story for me. Like I know you said they're supposed to be chaotic good in their opinion, but from what I'm seeing they're killing everyone and everything just because. Like even the echos or phones are just them killing people. It's too basic of a plot for main enemy. If they were like looters or rikers that turned into cleaners, I'd understand.
Even the division agent going rogue seemed to forced. Like he believed in leaving no man behind, and then in a matter of minutes or hours he just kills his fellow agents.
>>331296067
The picture is accurate though. /v/ has different opinions good and bad on games, "it's /v/ they hate everything" is a stupid argument to begin with.
>>331296247
Since you're such an expert. What's a game /v/ actually likes?
>>331296218
How is it unfair? "bad guys for the sake of being bad" is still valid criticism even if they technically have logical reasons to be bad.
>>331296196
You saying that it's good in everything aspect that you mentioned is literally your opinion. In fact, the loot and story is considered the worst part for people that like the game. I like the loot, but people see it as a treadmill, where if you don't keep up you'll fall deeper into the pit of obtaining the best loot because of DZ.
>>331296276
This is the part where I point out /v/ is not one person and you shitpost in response like a douche
>>331296338
>You saying that it's good in everything aspect that you mentioned is literally your opinion.
No it's not my opinion. If most people think a game is good, then the statement "most people think the game is good so it's a good game" is true.
>>331296346
I thought I was the newfag.
>>331294196
The game is awful, trash, and shit. I literally just got The Division for free a couple minutes ago. It was smeared all over the toilet paper. The game is shitty fucking garbage and blind sheep such as yourself will be the only ones to submit to shit.
>>331296407

>>331296196
>great premise
Not really. Smallbox hits Black Friday, people die. Some delusional people think they can take over New York City.
>good story
No. It doesn't even end, you kill a Colonel and the actual bad guy and the Russian escape.
>interesting setting
Its fucking New York
>great loot
The appearance shit isn't varied enough, because of its setting, and the actual gear loot barely changes your look. There is enough variety in guns but a big problem is they are all shit. No one is using shotguns, few people using LMBs.
>>331296113
Haha, I literally said that exact same thing a few days ago
>>331296393
ok, now you're just baiting. Good doesn't mean great, and if you think so you're retarded. Good still has it's flaws, but you saying those things are perfect is retarded. You want general consensus? Go read user reviews or even reviewer sites, you'll see there that people can agree there's problems with the games, even though it's a good one.
>>331296468
>>331296432
All wrong.
>>331296071

Vocal minority. Their opinion doesn't matter. All that matters is that the game is a success and people think it's good.
>>331296503
It's not about baiting. It's about you being completely factually wrong about everything you've said
>>331296298
That doesn't make sense though.
If they have logical reasons for being bad, how is that bad for the sake of being bad?
>>331296237
I kind of like the lore and motivation behind the Cleaners; it isn't so much 'kill everything just because', so much as 'Manhattan is tainted, and we can't risk the virus leaving the island; this is a horrible thing we must do but it needs to be done and nobody else will do it.' The Cleaners never give off the impression that they're enjoying what they do.
>>331296593
My point is that they obviously have not touched the game or he would know simple shit like that. How can you argue against something without knowing anything about it?
>>331296526
Yeah yeah cry all you want your game fucking sucks. I went to my friend's house and watched him play it. IT was so FUCKING boring. F.U.C.K.I.N.G boring. Oh wow, a virus is killing everyone! The city has some detail but it's boring, you see the same enemies over and over being bullet sponges. Story is just plain, garbage. Missions aren't fun. Guess what? I see you're ignoring all the people saying they've played the Division and still enjoyed the hell out of it.
Here's a running commentary for you.
The only people who hate the Division are hipsters like you that hate it because it's popular.
Whether it's the best shooter ever or not, it's far, far from the worst.
Ubisoft have said many times it's the game they always wanted to make, it's was to be their magnum opus.
The critics loved it.
The fans loved it.
Only you hate it..., because everyone else loved it. You are the /v/ hivemindStay strong anon. Good games aren't allowed to be talked about! You must shitpost those games instead!

I like it personally, but I can see it getting dull eventually. So far the most fun I've had has involved running around the DZ with friends and switching between dicking people out of their gear and hunting down rogues. It's like DayZ but fun.
>>331298105
She obviously said it after the show had aired because how else could she answer that question? why would it even be asked?
But it's besides the point, the person who decides who the target audience is has said that it's not just aimed at little girls. Nearly nothing in fiction that the author says matters, but this is one of those things that you can generally assume what they say is right, even if just because them saying that inherently makes it slightly more true due to the change of perception.
I want everyone ITT to know that I am playing Division and enjoying it. And there is absolutely nothing any of you can do to stop me. I'm having fun.

A (vocal shitposting) majority of /v/ doesn't buy vidya for games anymore. It buys vidya for status symbol.
Because having fun on your own just for the heck of it isn't enough anymore. You have to prove to everyone you have the most superior taste in your choice past time, however irrelevant it may be. You can't buy a game that'll make you look bad in the crowd, oh no, that'll hinder your /v/ cred

I seen people just spouting the same shit opinion some anon wrote here some days ago and use it as an argument, then when asked in-depth review of why it sucks, they just back into a corner and start saying "but it just sucks, gameplay and shit"
And also with the memes, /v/ even if they dont want to admit it, they fucking use memes, insde memes but they are fucking annoying
I been here for 6 years now, shit has changed, i hate this fucking place and people who browse with me yet i dont have anywhere to go.
This game is good, it had a gameplay that did its job better than other AAA games, the story and atmopshere was the focus of the game and it did a good god damn job of using it.
People are hating on ubisoft for no reason. They have done nothing to deserve this, They have made a critically acclaimed video game series.

Nope, I honestly did not read your post. As soon as I ended the first sentence, I knew what the rest was. And there you go again, saying I have no friends when I do indeed have friends, and a girlfriend. I came in this thread with people arguing about this shitty game, so I jumped in because why not, it's fun making fun of fucking losers like you who like stupid ass games. Afraid of criticism and shit, the fuck you think this place is. Reddit is thata way bitch.
>>331298948
I just got done with this >>331298953
So you can go ahead and read that. I'm not reading your post though. I'm about to be done with this thread after this posts, fuck that.

>a screencap where one guy posts something wrong and is likely b8 and gets called out for it
>proving that /v/ doesn't play games
I mean it really proves that they do, or that post wouldn't have that many replies
>>331298953
>I totally didn't read your post I swear!
You're not convincing anyone. It's obvious you read it and are now butthurt.
Hating reddit is pretty much a meme as well. Most people don't understand why they use it as an insult, they just know that telling people to go reddit when you disagree with them is the hip thing to do when you're part of the /v/ hivemind.

Are you going to answer why people who play games more than others can't have different tastes?
>>331298821
usually a different one every day, think it resets at 4pm.
>>331299075
In the simplest terms people just love to have that "Holier than thou" sense that you get from criticising something popular. At the same time it gives people a chance to be all nostalgic and demonstrate their "superior taste" by talking up a game that literally everyone in this thread has played, in a way these threads a lot like/mu/. All the while you have people who hate anything that's AAA come out and criticise the shit out of it along with that you have the /v/ hivemind and other such faggots criticising it because it has the audacity to think it's a good game. Honestly given all that I'd be more surprised if it wasn't getting shit in every thread

Have you considered that they have played things which have deeper gameplay, better atmosphere/writing, more original mechanics and don't want to spend their time on an unoriginal treadmill?

>I do indeed have friends, and a girlfriend

TPS cover shooter with bullet sponges which is very fun to play with random matchmade groups.
I'm really enjoying it. I think going Rogue needs a bit of a buff but not by a large margin.
I thought I wouldn't enjoy it as a friendless loser but have matchmade every mission and most DZ sessions and it's worked out well.
Best sandboxish world I've seen. Miles better than anything else out right now.
I really hope the whole thing gets used for DZ in the future. Seems pointless to only use a map like this for dull sidequest content when most of the playerbase will be lvl 30.

For the type of person it takes to regularly browse /v/ and consider it a "community" they are "part of," I doubt it.
>>331299413
Great post, you've #rekt me, you've convinced me that your game is fun and deep and that I'm a lonely loser who should give 60 dollars to a bad company in exchange for a shallow game. I also no longer hate women :) 10/10 post addresses the one you replied to yessir
>>331299668
why are you so butthurt about this video game? Let people enjoy their games fuck
Can /v/ even have an opinion on something that isn't completely jaded and cynical?
>>331299101
I know, I'm just hoping it's not that particular one today. That's not a mission where you can just have one geared player. Fucking opens with suicide shotguns and no cover/retreat space.
Conversely also the best mission, because you know in the first 5 minutes if it's doable with your group

>getting this bootytickled that someone is calling out your shitposting

It matters an awful lot to him that you only discuss video games that he wants to discuss because it makes him feel like his opinion is worth something(which it isn't) and allows him for the first, and probably only, time in his life to feel as if he has power or control over the whims of other human beings.
You can only imagine the type of person it takes to create a vapid cunt with a superiority complex like the ones that frequent /v/.
It's sad, really, because any number of hobbies could arguably justify being a sophist about but video games sure as shit isn't one of them.
Especially since you can go to any other board on 4chan and get better video game discussion.
>>331299840

>>331300014
>YOUR FUN IS FAKE STOP ENJOYING IT JUST READ MY OBJECTIVE REASONS WHY THE FUN YOU ARE EXPERIENCING IS FAKE PLEASE STOP IT!!".
/v/ doesn't like any kind of video game. This is a place for normalfags who can't be normal due to social anxiety come to hugbox and share feels before crying yourselves to sleep. You only play video games to escape your misery and don't actually enjoy playing them
>>331299882
Seriously, there isn't a single fucking game that /v/ hasn't tried to ruin.
I mean, I'm almost impressed by how much arrogance and ignorance is festering in this board for this many years. I couldn't make a list of all the games that I like and they don't. A list of the games they do like would be much shorter. Oh wait they don't like any.
Sometimes /v/ shows me games I just don't EVER read what the hi/v/mind has to say about them cause its normally just "hur dur worse than hitler, ded game, its over X is finished."
This is going to sound like bait, and I promise I don't mean it to.
But after being in countless Division threads, not engaging just lurking through everyone's conversations, I've genuinely come to the conclusion that most people on /v/ are either too jaded, too entitled, or too stupid to admit what a great game this is.
It's not the "citizen kane" of gaming, and I don't really know if I agree that it's the "best game of all time", but I will certainly say that it's special. It tells a special story about it's characters, tells it well, and give you a really good game to go with it, which is pretty rare when you really think about it. It's a pretty great game that's fun to play. Which is really what playing games is all about at the end of the day. Having fun.
But this /v/. I don't expect to have decent conversation with the hi/v/mind here anymore.
>>331299882
Find a post where I discouraged discussion about the game, and the find a post where you actually discussed playing it in any sort of detail
>>331300148
I like how you're still not playing your game and instead decide to argue with someone who you have concluded is a retarded, pretentious cynic.
>>331299305
That's all subjective. People obviously love things like GTAV, CoD, Fallout 4, Division etc. They're breaking sales records proving that there are people who prefer them. Gaming isn't going anywhere, it's just phasing people like you out.

I don't need to answer that. Proof is in the pudding. Your opinions are irrelavent as the industry disregards you and more and more people flock to games you don't like. All your posturing and your oh so developed "taste" won't change a thing.
