Wavedashes are easier to perform than Perfect pivot, so Melee will remain a faster, hyper game for a couple of years.

Smash 4 is a different type of game from Melee. You don't see constant shitflinging between Street Fighter and Marvel vs Capcom fans just because the latter is faster and "more hype"(well sometimes you do but those people are idiots).

Tier lists are different becuase they change much slower, simple executional difficulty will be overcome by the best players in that time unless it is at the level where it won't ever be used outside of tools
