Sometimes characters tend to use fancier accents which makes it hard to understand so subtitles are helpful since i'm a finn thus english isn't my main language

I don't see the point having them on if you understand what they are saying.
I've noticed this too anon, its probably because audio mixing in video games can be pretty bad (dbz xenoverse comes to mind)
