it's genuinely good. been playing the GBA and PSP version both. having a blast. saying this unironically. it's just a good dungeoncrawler and RPG and you have a huge map to roam around on. it's awesome.
also, give the PC/iOS remakes of FF V and VI a chance. the new character sprites aren't even that bad. got used to them pretty quickly. those are the best versions to play right now.
