fnaf isn't favored very much here but it does do a good job telling the story via environment

The port isn't very good, but even with no modification (which is easy to do thanks to DSfix) it's still easily the best way to play the game.
Metroid Prime is the most obvious choice. I could probably play Red Dead Redemption with a good western soundtrack and still enjoy it just as much.

The Half-Life series uses plenty of dialogue to tell its story. It has plenty of environmental story telling as well, but I'm not sure you'd have more than just the most basic idea what was going on without the dialogue.
Vagrant Story.
Although heavy on dialogue, From, I feel, borrowed some elements from it in atmosphere.

Majora's Mask focuses more on dialogue, but the environment still elicits plentiful information about the world. OOT did it quite a bit with the time travel system. Also, It's not out yet on console, much less in the US at all, but Tekken 7 seems to tell its story through the barren apocalyptic cityscape stages.
