It's a "daughter raising" sim. Basically, you have a limited time to raise your daughter of choice in order to fight the big bad. Fail to do so, and your daughter gets mulched in a gruesome way, and you'll have to try raising another. You can get a bad end/game over by failing to kill the big bad when the timer runs out.
This is how you know a game is shit.

From what I can tell, no. You should probably wait for a proper review to come out though (and not EW IT HAS BOOBS 2/10).
If 2ch is to be believed, the game is brutally hard. They were whining about how it's impossible to kill Trillion until NG+. Take that with a grain of salt though, because the Japs are fucking casuals.

Honestly, I don't follow reviews much, I think the review system is just entirely flawed and silly, mostly because most of the people who review games either do it because they have to or are fans, and the only requirement to being a reviewer is...well nothing, not even a varied taste in games.
But, I may wait a bit then, I was going to preorder it but I think I ended up getting Grand Kingdom for now instead.
I hadn't actually looked into this game at all. Looks somewhat interesting.

I hate how IF keeps trying to imitate Harada, Disgaea's lead artist/character designer, and failing. This boxart is appalling to look at and lacks any of the charm Disgaea has, they tried the same thing with Mugen Souls and that game looked awful.
They'd be better off just trying their own unique style instead of trying to be poor man's Disgaea.

Can you not tell the difference between Harada and a knockoff?
Idea Factory =/= NIS. Harada drew one side character in Mugen Souls and that was all it took for them to slap his name on the credits so gullible Disgaea fans would buy it, it's shoddy as hell and just proves these games aren't worth anything if they're deliberately trying to rip off Disgaea's success.
