Nash is really hard to play against, especially if you are a beginner like me. I have no idea how to punish any of his moves, he is either too far away or it's like +/- 2 on block

Nash really benefits from lag so much in this.

Framedata explanation.
Basically moves have startup, active frames and recovery, and they cause different types of stun depending on if they get blocked or connect.
If you recover two frames before the blocking guy comes out of the block you are +2 on block.
With that knowledge you can safely press a jab after that because you know that the other guy has no chance of beating your 3/4 frame jab in time because he still has to recover from his blockstun.
You dont need to know all the numbers by heart, but knowing whats negative and positive is essential.

I wouldn't worry about frame data too much in the beginning, understanding comes organically over time as you play.
I need to practice using Mika's v-trigger in proper combos. That's the next step for me I feel.

He's really obnoxious when laggy.
Like, he has that reverse flashkick thing that moves him in, and if you block it he has the advantage.
Its usually really easy to anti air, but when he lags you cant do shit about and then you have to take it.
Same with most of his close range options. Plenty of his moves are positive on block, so you really gotta watch out when you press buttons and many dont have that knowledge (yet).
He also has the ability to play extremely lame against some characters in the roster. But he's a victim to rushdown fuckers that can cross the screen easily like Cammy.
