Mediocre. Exploration's lame, combat isn't nearly as exciting as you'd expect given the stylistic change, and having to turn the Wiimote to shoot missiles is really annoying. I think everyone could've looked past the story if the gameplay was great, but it's just okay.

The game is so linear, you physically cannot leave save rooms until you save at them.
Enemy encounters are completely trivial since they don't drop items.
The "slow walking" sections are ass.
The "pixel hunt" sections are the shit that comes out of that ass.
The controlsare something I've never actually had a problem with.
And worst of all, the core gameplayactually isn't that bad. It's all functions normally when you get the hang of it.
Mediocre at best. Core gameplay is alright and could actually lend itself to an attempt to a more exploration less story based game well, but the actual level design and such are awful even keeping in mind that the game is linear and anything that isn't the base gameplay just doesn't work out.

It functions, but it's not fun. No exploration, shitty combat with rechargable health and missiles, awful pixel hunting sections, and pretty much everything else is garbage.
It's ok. Bosses are boring, the regular enemies and minibosses are pretty fun, anything that's not combat is total garbage.

You can't really make a full 3D game with lots of interactions, and there is only like 2 buttons besides the dpad. Just do not work.
As cool as point to enter shooter mode is, its one of the few things they did well.
The level design is also really shit, which further cripples a lot of amazing upgrades, like the Speed Booster.
Other M did exactly one thing right. 3d speedbooster and shinespark had never been done before, and I found it fun. Everything else is an atrocity.

Target shooting was a good 10/10 too. The only shit part was how it was more focused on missile spam.
I think prime did 3D Morph ball better.

The core issue is lack of buttons.
Analog stick alongside 2 input buttons will change nothing.
It's what the Prime series should have been.
